Does anyone remember the races everyone had on that old board, to get the 5000th, 10,000th etc???

Probably 25 webmasters, with two browsers open, one refreshing the board, and the other with a message poised to post.

Then someone would post the 9,999th post and all HELL would break loose.

I'm not saying bring back the good 'ole days - I was just remembering. :)

Urb - remember them well - and watching everyone with cable or DSL beating me to the punch everytime :)

Fonz is correct - as of this post, the totals on just this forum are 10,020 & the totals for the board are 20,801

Of course, seeing as the database crash wiped away a large chunk of posts back in August, I have a feeling the actual numbers are about double those totals :D

But the numbers are impressive none-the-less, so thank you all for making this board possible - without all of you, it'd just me Jim & me talking to ourselves :D

We were at 38,000 posts when the Hard Drive crashed and lost everything. As for the radio show...Greenie and I talk every day for at least an hour about the things we have heard and things you know. If we did not archive the shows, you guys would hear things that would both make you smile and scare the shit out of you.

But, with the archives, we keep a lot to ourselves. Greenie and I tell eachother everything. And dare I say...no I won't say it. Just know, if we didn't archive the show, you would hear a lot of things about a lot of people and programs.

I think one day, unannounced, we will do a show that will not be archived and cut loose on everything we know.

But I found last night pretty interesting. Hank did well IMHO explaining a lot of the legal issues I always wondered about.
