Need advice on this please
 

|waves| Ok all you very smart successful LL's owners need some advice. Ok I have a link list I've got over a 1000 links in it and do keep up with it on a daily basis. My other site is a "fake" tpg that is just sponsor galleries.

On my freesites I always put a link to my tgp. My traffic is really building up and I'm getting sales from that site now.

Now my LL the traffic is not so good yet. And no sales from it.

Should I link to that also on my freesites? Like one site link to the tgp and the next site I make link to my LL? Would this cause a problem with the LL's owners I submit to?

I also have 100's of free sites which are on my link list already. Also wondering if I should just make a page with all my free sites and link to that?

I'm wondering if I'm going about this in the right way, or if you have any better ideas for me? Thanks!

sue, I have been putting one link to one of my hubs in the second gallery of my freesites for a long time, but I think I am going to use all 3 links (or at least 2) on the second gallery to 2-3 different hubs knowing majority of my sponsor sales come from my freesites' index and main pages. You can probably use the top link on the second gallery for sponsor and have two links to your own sites, one to your link lists and one to your tgp. Just my opinion :D

I normally use one of the links on the main page of my freesites to link back to my LL....usually with some text like:
"Find even more slutty experienced teen virgins at mysite.com".

but is it their first time?? lol :D


Good question, Sue...I wonder if ratios would be better coming from a hub or LL as opposed to freesites & I've heard some folks build fs just for their links.

I am not necessarily successful ;) but I've done the opposite - driving traffic to my LL first & I have started to see some sales from it. I just redid my TGP hub, & what I did was to put a special section with all my clean FS on it - they're the only fs the rest is all sponsor galleries. I think I have to start pushing a little traffic there now, too.

Sue - if you mean you are using one of your allowed 3 links to link to the TGP - then yes I would alternate them - although if I were building free sites I would make damn sure every copy of the mirror pages had my Linklist recip in with the other recips as well (of course limited to 1 LL - not half of them to fake LLs)

I always use one of my 3 outgoing links on each page to my tgp. Will now alternate with my LL.

I have a third domain name I'm not using because it's stupid.. :D But I guess that would be a good place to put all my clean freesites on.

If you put your recip in with the others, would it still be considered one of your links out? I've wondered about that...

IN my experience and lots of times doing it it does not count towards the links out - of course it is extremely important to not try to game the LL owners as some have with 6 out of 10 recips to your own LLs (Or Your Own Groups!!!!) :)

I would go as far as saying it is foolish not to put your own recip with the others, especially if it is a real link list.

I think that's the key is that it is a 'REAL' Link List...not a hub page. As long as it's a list that's open to submissions and functioning as a link site...don't think anyone will give you flack about having it as one of your recips :)

I do think you should all start linklists... it's really easy..

.. and make sure you put links to all your hubs on all your sites, and do as many mirrors as possible so you can add more links to your self..

On the mirror pages, how many do you recommend? I do an index, index html and warning page now. I get confused on what to name them after that. And a lot of LL's don't like being on a mirror page as posted in their rules.

Well I'm glad ponygirl asked the question about adding our own recipts with other links. With all the rules I thought it might stop me from getting listed also. I would only put the recipt to my LL as I don't take submits on my tgp.

sue, I know there has been a few threads about this in the past but the best way to do it is, make a directory for your freesite, something like domain.com/site-name. after you are done building your site you can do it couple of different ways but I do mine as follows

domain.com/site-name/mirror-one
domain.com/site-name/mirror-two
domain.com/site-name/mirror-three

and so on.... now copy your html files and put them in those directories and pull the images from the original directory which would be domain.com/site-name and you are all set. Every link list get an index.html :)

You can leave the original index which is in domain.com/site-name clean for use on your own hubs. I suck in explaining things but if you need help with it you can drop me a pm and I will show you some samples :)

Sue - CrazySy hit it perfectly - that's how I do it, 4 folders & 4 index pages to sub. Plus you can use different keywords for the folders & the gallery html pages. Don't know if this helps in SE but it can't hurt :)

I've actually been wondering about the recip thing for a while, I always put a link to my LL on there but always used it as a 3rd link -don't want to be accused of using 'fake recips' |couch|

I will try putting my recip in the table & making better use of my 3 links.
