What do you think of my plan?
 

I have this idea, been playing with it in my head for a few weeks now.

I want to do a big content site addressing a more mature audience. I'm thinking about 30+ and older surfers, men, women and couples. Been hearing so much about how porn surfers think with their dicks, but I think not everyone is quite like that. I want to try and target the "thinking" surfer. I want to do a textual site, bringing together porn and sexuality. Putting porn into some perspective and dicussing how it can be implemented in a healthy sexual lifestyle. Talking people into buying porn (yes, I do have a business end here ;)), as a tool to explore and enhance their sexual lives etc. etc. I also want to focus on free porn that is surfer-friendly. I.e. no pop-ups, no malware, no dialers...

I have these sections in mind: Paysites reviews (with clean links to the paysites, no pop-ups etc), links to my freesites (which are all pop-up free and textual in nature), guides and articles (tips for safe anal sex, the perfect blowjob etc.), a blog with thoughts about sex and life, maybe even an erotic stories section, and down the road, perhaps even forums (way down the road, I fully realize what a huge project it is to bring a community to life).

I am thinking a site with no blatant images on it. A place that's safe to browse with toddlers around you (as long as they don't read English ;) ). Somewhere for mature adults to hang around and explore porn in a computer-safe environment. I thinking explicit language and all, but just text.

Any feedback will be most welcome. I am still thinking about the right balance and how to get them to eventually go for a porn paysite subscription... and I wonder if the whole concept will work, if people who get to such a site will be willing to consider going that extra step and buying porn.

Also, a technical question, am I right in assuming I don't need a warning page on a text-only website? I might add softcore images here and there (boobs and ass at most), not even sure about that.

Sounds like you're thinking of a "full featured" review site, and I think there's probably a place for that if it's carried out well. One thing to remember is that surfers like to see a good balance of graphics and text, so make sure if you're text-heavy you've got some graphics to back it up. Also bear in mind that men never stop thinking with our dicks, so a lot of your additional content will probably be of more interest to female surfers...not that it's a bad thing...keep the little lady busy reading so she's not as irritated that her man is looking at porn sorta thing.

I am thinking sorta the same thing, guys are usually more visual and to me, their other head does most of the thinking. Course they say softcore can sell well if done right.

I think it sounds like a great idea. And yes, men are more visual than women so you'll have to toss in at least some teaser images for us. ;)

It sounds like the original plan of my first ever site. Haha I thought it was a free site! I think that style of site sounds good and the search engines will probably love it. Thanks for reminding me that one of the things on my huge todo list is to fix up a lot of stuff on mine. I almost forgot it existed.

I have looked into Purple Dollars before. I have to say though that, as a woman, I enjoy porn that is intended "for men", so I'm not sure about it yet. It just seems that too often porn that is "for women" is simply sofcorish with lots of handome guys thrown in...

True! So if you manage to find a good combination of both "softcorish" and hardcore pics/vids - the success will be there very soon.
