Chrismahanakwanzaka in the Keys
5:30 AM
I'm sitting outside with my notebook this morning, watching the moon pick its way through some high thin clouds. It's about 68 degrees (farenheit) now, should be 78 degrees by noon. If the predictions are right, we may dip down to 59 by tomorrow night. Pretty cool for here, but I really miss seeing snow today, and I'm wishing for colder weather. Next year I'll be looking for a new place out west somewhere. Someplace with mountains. Maybe a cabin on a mountain. Well, it's Christmas morning and I want to take a minute to say Merry Christmas to everyone, whether you celebrate it or not. And I want to send whatever other holiday greetings may apply to any and all everywhere today. I missed saying this on Thanksgiving ('cause my head was in all the wrong places), but I want to say thank you to many people today. Of course, a thank you to all the Link List and TGP owners who've listed our hosted free sites and galleries. And thank you to all those here who've shared info on how to do some things I didn't know how to do. And how to do some things I didn't know I needed to do. :) I had a lot of questions when I started posting here, and the answers I've gotten from board members have helped me learn a lot of very valuable things. Actually, I have even more questions now, but I've learned that that's a good thing too. :) Finally, I want to say thank you to those who noticed I wasn't around as much in the last two months and reached out to find out what was up. This past hurricane season blew a lot of things away, and drowned some others. The storms were bad enough, but they were followed by the end of a long-time primary relationship, and then the loss of a great house that we'd been in for the last two years. Having to find a new place, pack, and move, with only a couple of weeks to get it all done, and right before Christmas, was a little more pressure than I usually like. lol Oh yeah, plus the flu with 101 degree fever didn't help things much either. :D I'm still moving things to and from storage, and unpacking boxes, but eventually everything will be back on a more level footing, and my intention is to bounce back stronger than ever in 2006. It's the old..."that which does not kill us, certainly does piss us off and makes us take names and kick ass"... or something like that. ::grin:: Okay, enough about me. More important...thanks again to all the great people around here for so many things. And Merry Christmas to you and all of yours. Simon |santa

Merry Christmas Simon, and I hope your New Year is 100 times better.

A Merry Christmas to you too Simon :)

I like naked girls.
Glad to see you interacting with you fellow perverts again, Simon. I'm more the type to say fuck it and give up when the ebb of life turns against me, but it's good to know that you are strong swimmer. Just because you're strange doesn't mean that you have to be a stranger.|waves
Glad to hear that you are doing ok… more or less. :)
Personally I think the holidays suck. My last long term relationship ended x-mas. My mom died on x-mas day. Childhood memories of x-mas usually involved huge family fights that often ended with police and medical people having to show up. Mostly the holidays are just fucking boring for single folks like myself. Just a week to go… |
Merry Christmas to you too Simon :)
Sounds like you've had one helluva road the past few months, but also sounds like you're ready to kick its ass now...good on ya! As my gramps used to say...any day above ground is a good day. Give em hell Simon...2006 is gonna be a banner year |thumb |
I'm with Cleo.. i |banghead| the hollydazes (except i can change my name to fit them at will) I stopped doing all the crap when i realized my kids couldn't remember 2 months from now what they'd gotten.
anyway enough of my rant.. Simon: not to be trite but ever onward and upward. Yes kick ass and take names. Living well IS the best revenge and you can prove it both the nature and human challenges you've been facing. Glad you are back.. hogtie that flue, whip those boxes into shape and ball gag anyone who tries to bring you down. :D |
Thanks Surfn, CosmicCat, Trev, Fonz, Useless Warrior, Cleo and Holly! |thumb
Absolutely will be making 2006 a much better year. Sometimes you need a bad year (or a bad few months) to help clear out all the crap that gets packed away otherwise. :) Surfn - Definitely making "suck it up and deal it back" my motto for the new year. UW - Yeah, I've seen you say fuck it, but I haven't ever really seen you quit. I think you don't give yourself enough credit sometimes. Cleo - Sounds like you have plenty of reasons not to like the holidays much. :| This is my first single holiday in a lot of years, and I agree, the holidays are not so good for singles. MrYum - Yep, your gramps was right. As long as I'm above ground I can still effect change, and that's all the edge I need. :) Holly - Absolutely working on hogtying, whipping and gagging all the impedances I can find. And I also made a note about your request the other day for what you need when you decide to open a retail store again - and I'm thinking Max will be glad to help with that one too. :D Best wishes for an excellent day after Christmas to all. As the wise little green one told us, "Do, or do not. There is no 'try'." :D |
Good to see you back around Simon. I knew you had way too much on your plate so I decided to just hang back and let you deal (returning the courtesy you recently extended to me ;))
Hopefully we'll see you around more :) |
