The joys of the fucking holidays…

Good Morning All :)

Yeah I just crawled out of bed myself, was up way too late playing Madden '06. I also need to start working out once more I feel too fat again. I went from 236 to 208 back to 220 so I am getting ready to do the treadmill again, I hate that thing but I have been eating like shit the last few months, starting with my trip to NY where I think it's a state law to dunk all your food in chocolate.

Other then that I am just doing what needs to be done, I also have to go pick up my wife’s birthday cake (did I just mention how fat I feel?) she is working today but we are doing something tomorrow with some friends to celebrate, right now it looks completely |sun out side, so I bet tomorrow rains lol.

This cold is mostly going away. It was a quick one thankfully. Started the 24th late and yesterday I felt totally drained.

I just now dragged my ass out of bed. Here is a hint, don't believe anything the butterball tells you :) Our Turkeys took an extra hour and a half longer than they told me they would. It made for an interesting day with my son needing to see his mother and my daughter having to go to her mothers.

Anyway, it is almost over with. In a feel good moment, I told my daughter that lives in Rochester that I would follow them tomorrow with their gifts that won't fit in their car (most of them). So, that will be about 6 or 7 hours out of my day tomorrow.

Morning .. a balmy 61 degrees and overcast.. I'm so afraid to look at the weather for next week here..since last year we had the "monsoons" decend on Jan 1 and not stop until Feb 28.

I'm playing catch up today and have 1 quick trip out to make to the grocery and drop off this weeks laundry and pick up last weeks.

*wonders if she can have a blue new years instead of blue xxxmas??*

Afternoon is here already, I have been hard at it for a bit, working on my banner rotation software to improve the banner placements by public demand. The data is all there, just need to process it and spew it back in a manner that will allow on the fly positioning of the most popular banners for any given page. Objective is to increate banner clickouts by at least 1 full point in the next 7 days.

Other than that, the coffee is consumed, redbull is cold and ready, and I have no plans to be anywhere except in front of the computer for the next few days.

goodevening all:) still second christmas day here, seems that an other couple of 1000s dutchies had the same idea to go to the Scheveningse Beach, was stuck in traffic on our way to the beach and got stuck in traffic going back home and it was fucking cold there too, i had a smile for an whole day, my cheeks where frozen, this eve , we went bowling with the kids and having diner at that place too, Santa was there and the kids had a great time and got again a present from santa there, i am glad when christmas is over tomorrow, still busy time to come, newyears eve and the birthday of my son..i dont think 3 weeks holiday is enough..........

Not 2006 yet. I know this because the phone would probably be ringing a lot less and I would probably be in a much better mood.

Ya know, I was thinking, and that's not something I spend a lot of time doing these days - anyway... I was thinking about the hub-bub surrounding the call for political correctness during the holidays and the resulting outrage. I have come to this conclusion on both counts: I don't give a fuck. :D I'm an aethiest who celebrates christmas because I like giving my kids junk that the dogs will inevitably destroy and I like other people giving me shit. You won't here a complaint from me about the commercialization of christmas. (That's all it has ever been to me anyway.) So, I don't care if a Christian says "Merry Christmas" or if a Jew says "Happy Hannakuh" or if an African says "Happy Kwanza" or if a Muslum says "Go fuck yourself, you American Pig". It's all the same to me. I appreciate the fact that they wish me well, especially if they don't believe the way I do. And because of that, I don't care that people are upset about everyone saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" or whatever. Personally, I think everyone should be allowed to make the Happy Joy-Joy statement that goes with their belief system and not have to tailor it to the recipient's beliefs, but who the fuck am I?
