LL owners--is this cool or cheating?
 

Hi. I've recently started adding a black background space under (or to the side of or over) sponsor's banners on my sites, and putting my text ads there (directly on the banner) in the same color font as the regular text on my site (with "click here" in the regular link color). In other words, looks like a banner and text link, but is just a banner--one outgoing link. Would you all consider this one link or a banner and a text link? Just want to make sure I'm not stepping on toes here. Thanks!

Would have to see it .. but it sounds ok... eg counted as one link

I tend to count tags so as long as it is all inside of one tag then it is one link.

Actually that is all the TGP scripts count.

Thanks for your responses Cleo and DD! Should've posted an example--here's one if anyone wants to take a look. It's the menu page of a site I sent out to LLs yesterday--on the left is a regular banner with the usual text link underneath. The right banner is the single link combo banner, bringing the total outlinks to 3. Thanks again!

Looks ok to me..

If it stays within sort of normal banner sizes and looks like one ad it would count as one.
