LL Owners, would you list this freesite?

This is my first freesite attempt and I need your suggestions on the site structure. Note: Just a sample template.

mmmmmmmm are you seriouse? i dont know what to say, you ask an opinion aout his whole free site if people would list it right?

Surfn 2005-12-27 03:22 PM

I see several pitfalls, nothing it would be difficult to overcome. I'll just mention the pics. The gal need to move. No one wants to Lock at 20-30 pics of a model moving her fingers one inch...

I'll let others point out some of the other things. Keep trying :)

MrYum 2005-12-27 03:35 PM

Yep, you've got a bit of work to do...

Entry page: Due to a recent influx of sites abusing the english language, you'll need to clean up your grammar quite a bit.

That first sponsor text link is a blind link.

The whole 'pussy ripped' thing doesn't work for me, but I'm kinda picky about that kinda thing...others would probably let that slide.

If you're going to have an exit link, it should be linked to something...same with your 2257 link. Note that your exit cannot go to an adult site and your 2257 page cannot have any advertising on it.

Main page: 'downloading here' is a blind link.

Gallery pages: All your text links are blind.
Can't comment on your full size images since they're not showing up. From looking at the thumbs, I'd agree with Surfn...you'll have to show a lot more movement than those thumbs represent.

That's what I noticed in a quick review. A board search will bring up a lot of useful information regarding blind links...you'll definitely want to research the topic.

Hope that helps |thumb

Truly, you'd be better off posting a finished site than a template. All I can really say about the template is that I like the color scheme and general layout. I'd have to see the finished text and pics to say anything more.

Yahook 2005-12-27 05:12 PM

I see some blind links on your free site, for example "Download And Watch These Big Ass".

A necessary part of a site review is to comment on the quality of the content, thumbs, etc. Mr. Yum hit all the major points, so just take care of those, add some actual content and post again...we'll be happy to take another look at it.

So far the layout and colors look good :)

dekaz 2005-12-27 07:00 PM

i just updated the freesite without the reciprocals. I'm trying very hard not to make it a blind link. The galleries are up without the repetitive image you saw earlier. Is there a good thread talking about blind links? I'm still searching through the board but haven't found any good one s yet.

thanks max

Surfn 2005-12-27 07:11 PM

The galleries look a lot better :)

None of your sponsor links work for me |huh

MrYum 2005-12-28 12:10 AM

Looks much better Dekaz |thumb

A couple more points to consider...

The images look like vid caps...some link sites won't list those. You'll need to check each link site's rules to make sure they accept vid caps. Can't stress this enough, always always always read the link list rules where you're submitting. It will help a ton in getting your sites listed.

Also, you'll need to get your images in some sort of logical sequence of events. Meaning the models aren't naked in one pic, then fully clothed in the next.

Nice progress though Dekaz...you're getting there :)

Edit: Just remembered Surfn's post about your sponsor links. I see that you have added the links now...which is good. But, you'll want to let your sponsor know that none of the movie samples work in Firefox 1.5.

Thanks Yum! I'll be sure to keep a note on the vidcaps and sequence. For the movie sample, are you talking about their tour? If so, it seems to be working.

MrYum 2005-12-28 11:12 AM

Yep, I was talking about the vid samples on the tour.

Just checked again and they will play when clicking directly on the download link. With the amount of open space on the vid sample pages, I had thought they would play in the browser. Your call if you want to ask the sponsor about it |thumb

RawAlex 2005-12-28 11:51 AM

I think that the inside page (between index and galleries) is a total waste of space. Maybe it is just my large screen, but everything is scrunched into a really small area with fairly small text, no highlights, and no reason to even look at it. A blank page with GALLERY 1 GALLERY 2 probably would have impressed me more.

It isn't just about parts... it is about selling! This isn't the free porn giveaway business... we sell porn memberships.

Ok thanks Alex, I increased the width of the table and realigned my banners. Is there an average font size that is recomended to avoid the small text?

RawAlex 2005-12-28 03:04 PM

It isn't about average sizes or whatever. It is about "eye catching". You have to make people WANT to read what you say. Make it easy to find the galleries and hard to read the sales pitch, and they will never read the sales pitch.

Some excellent advice to increase click throughs and sales for ya there Dekaz |thumb

Halfdeck 2005-12-28 11:58 PM

Hi Dekaz,

Index:

-Yellow text is illegible against dark background.
-Some People Like Writing Like This But It Hurts My Eyes
-"Check out the tour" -- blind.
- "Watch girls with their pussy pumped" ... This site is about BIG ASSES...not pussy.

Main page:

- "You won't find this stuff anywhere else in the web" - Can't prove it, so why say it?
- Make your text scan-friendly. Short bursts. Avoid unformatted, unjustified lengthy paragraphs.

Galleries

- Vid caps/overcompressed tiny thumbs.
- "Join now and access exclusive sites" .. what sites are you talking about?

It's not a horrible start, slap on better looking pics and submit :)

RawAlex 2005-12-29 01:10 AM

Let me add this: There is a difference between "what can get listed" and "what will really sell". WIthout most of what halfdeck said, you could get this site listed (with better content, sorry, but this stuff blows), but you might not get many sales or much action as a result.

If you have never studied it, I would truly recommend you take a short time a read a couple of books (or at least texts) on direct sales / sales pitches. There is much to be learned (and I often go back to read because I forget things).

Many web sales are made on momentum... keep the surfer moving forward towards to goal (buying a membership). Make sure that this is your goal!

Alex

dekaz 2005-12-29 11:41 AM

2 halfdeck: thanks for giving me those great tips. I'll make sure I note that when I get home.

2 alex: I've been trying to look for some titles at the bookstore but I don't know which one I should start reading, is there anything you recommend?

Xeno 2005-12-30 07:20 AM

Some work as others are saying...then I would accept your sites into our link directory. Keep refining your skills and you will do well with the sites.
