Is that too much and how long should it be for, 1 month, 2 months?

I'm thinking 70% for one month should be about right but obviously it will depend on the traffic sent.

How about 65% for 2 months?

What's a good percentage and time period?

What's the site? 70% of a site that doesn't convert sucks compared to 50% of a site that get sales.

Then you have to throw in there what your conversion from trial to monthly is, how many months they stay, etc. Then you can figure out what makes you (and the affiliate) the most money.

Hell, pay 100% for beta testing for a month or 2 so that people promote the hell out of it & then figure out what the %'s will be after you have some data.

Well that's what the beta testing is for to find these things out. I could just do it with my own traffic and then just offer 50%, but I thought 70% to test it was fair. Oh and the price $24.99
