Sponsors who have developed tools for bloggers

I use Danni, Cybernetbucks, TwistedCash already looking for more. Any niche.

Hi Walrus
As a sponsor I'm wondering what kind of tools you're looking for. Any suggestions as to what bloggers want?

I also wanted to suggest Spookycash which has its own hosted blog that you can link to: Spookyblog

Where to start...there is so much that could be done with an RSS feed (and all bloging programs I've seen include a RSS reader) from a simple feed of gallery and / or freesite links (embedded codes of course) to regular updates something like Cybernet Cash does. You can see what I'm talking about here: http://www.misterwalrus.com/index.ph...id=57&Itemid=7. The thing I don't like about it is that they use the Cybernet Cash banner, I'd much prefer that it be a site specific banner but would really prefer a single small picture relating to each update.

A hosted blog doesn't excite me much but the RSS feed, with my embedded codes does. Simply, with the RSS feed, I have the blog but can use it in many different ways where as with a hosted blog there just isn't as much. I'm sure those who run blog directories would disagree with me and those running RSS aggregators would agree but having both would satisfy both worlds.

But even something like Naughty Allie does, which is to supply a erotic story along with each picture set is really helpful. If your posting text in your blog, at least for me, there is alway at least one day a week when I just can't / don't want to come up with a bunch of text. Those are the days I promote her in my blog. Now some keyword rich erotic stories with a couple pictures in a RSS feed....damn, I popped a woody just thinking about it.

To break it down to the very basics...RSS feeds and it really doesn't have to be anything extra or above what you currently provide other than being wrapped in a feed. Once I have the feed, I can come up with tons of ways to market it.

Spooky blog looks great, but not updating much this month. Is that a concern, sponsors not keeping up with the blogs?

Surprized more sponsors have'nt jumped on the bandwagon. Same for RSS tools.

Thanks for the thread Walrus, I am looking for the same thing.

here are a couple of new rss tools i busted out last week...

promo rss feed, basically this thing updates 4 times a day with a hosted gallery link

http://www.nubiles.net/webmasters/pr...&o=text&days=7

you can customize it in the webmaster area to show various size thumbs, descriptions, or both.

our hosted blog now has a hosted rss feed:

http://www.nubilesblog.com/?feed=rss2&coupon=611105

let me know if you need anything else :)

walrus 2006-01-30 01:39 AM

FiReC - These are great tools, I'm really happy with them.

ronnie 2006-01-30 09:55 AM

I strongly agree with walrus about feeds and RSS tools having some good text, more than just a gallery link text. I usually dont have time to write good text for all the blogs.

Another good point, why more sponsors are not providing blog posts? They provide ads and text descriptions, would'nt be too far a stretch to create blog entries would it? Sure many bloggers would throw them up, a good couple paragraphs even.

I dont mean to be rude here, but same question I had before. I look through your blog and it does'nt get updated very often. Even looking back a few months, not many posts there. Think Dec only had a handful of posts. I think it is great that sponsors are developing tools like blogs and I'm going to start using them. But if these blogs are not updated very often, how much good will they be for the webmasters promoting them? Think most would agree, the more posts a blog has the more readers they should have, in theory anyways. Or are sponsor provided blogs different? More like making free sites, make a sale or done? I dont say this to start trouble, just curious if I am expecting too much?

Ronnie,

I don't use any sponsors blogs (or blog pages for that matter never figured out how the hell I could add their pages to my blog without the RSS feed)...it ends up just being another link that gets lost in my link trades. But at least there is a feed from their blog...cant say that about any other sponsor I've run across.

But Nubiles has added a tool that pretty much lets you configure a RSS feed to match your needs. You can create a feed of just thumbs linking to galleries to use in a sidebar, a feed without thumbs that you could use as well, or a combination of the two. Plus the feed regenerates itself like 4 times a day so which ever options you chose, it gets updated on your site regularly

I need to look at their models pages and descriptions (which I still want BTW) but that's about the only thing missing from their feed generator that I think I could use.

It's a cool tool and if your thinking about doing teens I'd take a close look at it.

Only feeds i use right now are the ones from cybernet bucks. Just put some up, so have to see how it goes, Few other mentioned above.

Not sue what you mean on the second question, an aggregator is a completely different script than a blog script. Was that what you were asking?

RSS reader...aggregator.. .script.

Word Press or Phpnuke?

ronnie 2006-01-31 12:53 PM

Your talking a few different things really, RSS reader is usually a seperate program that only reads rss feeds, what a surfer uses to keep up with feeds they subscribe to. Aggregator is usually a site that lists many feeds from many different blogs. Different script than a reader, though similar in priciple.

Word press is blogging software/script. phpnuke was made as a CMS system but some use it as a blog. Though i understand word press has a plug-in that will display feeds. Not sure on nuke, but would'nt be surprized.

Also RSS feeds can be displayed on any site with php code. I just found a little set of scripts, thanks to walrus, that I use on one of my pages to feed/display RSS feeds.

Thanks for the tutorial. Im sure someone will find it useful.

Im really more interested in sponsors that have feeds with ref codes embedded in them. The Word Press or Php Nuke question was just one out of curiosity.

Real Sex Cash has a hosted BLOG and RSS feeds that carry your affiliate codes throughout. They also have a tutorial on using it.

ARS, Nubiles and Cybernet Bucks are the only ones I've found that offer RSS feeds with ref codes. ARS and Nubiles is mostly FHG feeds and Cybernet Bucks is descriptions of current model posts with links to FHG's

JayManCash used to but remember seeing somewhere on the board that he had a problem with them and don't remember seeing a resolution but I'm old and senile so I could be mistaken.

I use bBlog and Mambo for my aggregators.
