Are there really more than 8 sponsor sites??

From the amount of submits that past few weeks, I'd swear there are only 8!!!
(and those only have 3 content sets!)

Figure it out folks!!

I could have sworn I saw at least 10 when I was looking thru our resources |couch|

sue-fl 2006-01-18 01:04 PM

|confused| Ok call me confused once again! In my freesites I'm mainly promote one sponsor because they make me great sales. I do throw in others but not that often. I don't use sponsor content though I buy all my own. Should I change the way I'm doing things?

You see that many you are lucky. I see maybe 5 and most are from newer programs |banghead|

dareutwo 2006-01-18 01:22 PM

sue-fl -
You submit to different categories all the time, and you don't use their content - not a problem here.

GG - LOL ok, maybe ten.

CrazySy 2006-01-18 02:25 PM

It's time for me to |couch|

MrYum 2006-01-18 04:54 PM

Actually Sy...you do pretty damn well mixing things up...as does Sue. I love seeing your sites come up for review |thumb

It's the submitters who build for the same freakin sponsor EVERY damn day...very similar layouts...all sponsor content...it gets old after a while |loony|

stuveltje 2006-01-18 05:33 PM

mmmm i dont have for o reason 175+ sponsors, now i dont use them all, but i use alot,i only dont submit my sites all the time:D, funny thing is i see alot mention: nastydollars bangbros etc etc, and yet those are the ones i cant sell:D....maybe its time again i make free sites and submit them? but goddamn making free sites is so fucking boring, well i think that after 3 years , my 4th year in biss i build 4 free sites .........i should build more i bought to many content to just leave it, but ......free sites.......i think its so boring.....kill me.....

Wazza 2006-01-18 06:33 PM

Adult.com is NOT overpromoted... tut tut!

MadMax 2006-01-18 08:25 PM

I've about fucking had it with the "Mature Russian Teaches Younger Russians How To Fuck" sites. Just reviewed 3 of them in a row with the same content.

I think I might see a new rule there on the horizon.

Wazza 2006-01-18 08:36 PM

By "review" you mean - "saw the sponsor banner on the front page and clicked reject"?

Nothing to do with LL acceptance, but that is not a good idea. If your main sponsor goes belly up you are screwed, you got to go through every site changing the links. And if you make your money on "rev share" it means you start again from zero.

I had this problem years ago (back when there were not a lot of sponsors). I was using two sponsors at the time so I only lost 50% of my earnings, but even so, if I had been living on website income only, I would have had major financial problems.

ecchi - very good point and good advice!!! |thumb

Also - Im seeing a trend here - finally people are waking up to the fact that sponsor content is so overused that at least at my LLs, it is very hard to get listed using it - if someone really wants to make a living in this biz they will spend the $5 for a new set of content (and support the content producers out there that do a great job for all of us) and stop free-loading off the sponsors shit.

Thanks ecchi never thought of it that way. I promote many sponsors threw my LL but on my freesites share it between two sometimes three. It has taken me a LONG time to build up good consistent traffic, so by spreading it out over several sponsors sales were slow. Luckily it's not the only income, so I can take my time, learn and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice I need all I can get |thumb

plateman 2006-01-19 01:06 PM

I hope I am not under the scope...|couch|

only sponsor content I really ever used was movie content and I try to pick the stuff that isnt really used by everyone... I pay close to 300.00 a month for hosting to post movies in my free sites and a few tgp places I sub to..

I agree that a webmaster that pays 19.95 for hosting and uses all crappy sponsor picture content is lame if they keep using it over and over again with different programs and never buy any...

and a far as seeing the same 8 or 10 sponsors a lot of things are factored in like programs that pay weekly with epass, programs that are hot, good promo stuff(there's still a lot who never made new banners after 2257 scare) programs that have a board presence and good surport.... and on and on and that knocks a lot out of the picture as far as programs go..

I own 2 LL and would love to see a wide range of programs and niches used....|confused|

dareutwo 2006-01-19 02:29 PM

Ok I've about had it with this crap -
You will NOT get any sort of reply, even if I know you, if you use sponsor content. (some will be listed - but not much).
Same goes for submitting to the same damn category day after fucking day.
If nothing changes, then I'll simply start blacklisting people for being either stupid, lazy or both.

I'm sick of playing around and holding hands. If it's your job to be a real webmaster, be a real damn webmaster.

Back to your regularly scheduled program

I don't submit to any of the sites you review for but I do see and appreciate your frustration from my own experience.

Ok, I'm one that submits to the same damn category almost every time, but I do use different content, and try to mix up my designs on my sites. Is that a problem? |confused| Last thing I want to do is get blacklisted or banned. |help|

I don't think anyone's talking about you Virginia :) The problem is the submitters who build (and I use the term loosely) promoting the exact same paysite with sponsor content in the same cat every day for a month and wonder why they stop getting listed.

msanchez 2006-01-19 11:59 PM

I have only been reviewing for a short time and almost instantly got deluged with dissolute wallpaper mom and boy same sponsor same content day after day after day.

was the first additions to my blacklist :) I felt bad at first but that passed quickly.

Some people need more help than anyone can really give them.
