Ban that ass! |headbang|

Greenguy 2006-01-25 06:14 AM

I'd ban their domain & email address as well as any other domain or email address I could tie to their name.

I'd then send the people that the movies were stolen from an email with all the info & let them take it from there.

Not only would I ban the gallery submitter, but I would also ban the asshat who said that.

Well, obviously he's looking for traffic. He's even willing to steal yours. Ban him, ban his mother, and ban all of his pets. He's a thief, a cheat, and I'm guessing that girls laugh when they see his penis.

Papa 2006-01-25 07:59 AM

Ban the sucka PERIOD and do what Greenguy says (if you got spare times)

Why would you even question whether to ban someone if you caught them using stolen content? I wouldn't have wasted my time checking to see where his links went to...poof Ban-B-Gone!

MrYum 2006-01-25 09:58 AM

Yep, some things just aren't forgivable...stealing being one of the top transgressions...Insta BAN!

SirMoby 2006-01-25 10:51 AM

Just because the ass hat will steal from someone else does that mean he will also steal from you?

I know, it's silly to even ask such a question but this post is asking a silly question.

I want to know who the ass hats are that asked "but is that cheating"? You don't often find people that stupid that can actually read and communicate on the Internet.

[BV] 2006-01-25 11:52 AM

Post the gallery.

I don't this is the point. If someone stole from you, I would ban them from my TGP even if I knew for certain that they would not cheat me in anyway. If the situation were reversed (i.e if they posted to you using material stolen from me) I would hope that you would do the same.

Jel 2006-01-26 03:18 AM

ecchi, read the very next line in Sir Moby's post :)

I did, not sure what your point is though? Are you saying my question is silly too?

Jel 2006-01-26 03:33 AM

no lol, I'm saying that Sir Moby posted the first line:

"Just because the ass hat will steal from someone else does that mean he will also steal from you?"

and then referred to that line with:

"I know, it's silly to even ask such a question but this post is asking a silly question."

So he is saying exactly what you are |thumb

webgurl 2006-01-26 05:16 AM

here is his gallery its NaughtyAmerica's I talk to Mark/Ace about it from there he doesn't seem to mind
http://www.ultrasexmovies.com/free/amateur0278.html

and here is another ...
http://www.ultrasexmovies.com/free/anal0268.html .

So now you know what site he is directing the traffic to |dizzy|

As for those who asked why i would even ask such thing is because ironically i asked several webmasters what they thought of this and few gave me the responses I mentioned on my first post . As well
when I ask Ace / Mark what he thought of this, he didn't seem to care
much . So now I am getting more advice . I have not listed any of his stuff . I gave him partner account in the first place cause the gallery samples he gave me was for adult.com and everything was linked correctly now when I started updating, I get these galleries and they are ALL like this .

I think how precious people get about their content is down to

1. How big they are - the bigger the player the more they expect and even allow for some of their content getting stolen. They make all sorts of noises but cant afford to prosecute every little incident though u can bet that if Microsoft used one of RicosPhats movies on their next windows promo they would get their ass sued for millions!

2. Whether they themselves paid for the content in the first place or whether it came free from a sponsor or even from a source they cant remember!

3. Whether they stole it to start with

I expect people to steal a certain amount of my stuff, its all digitally watermarked and in some cases carries difficult to remove advertising for my sites. For example if somebody goes to http://hunfreeporn.com/webcam/kermit.html and steals the picture to post on a website or email to all their friends I regard that as viral marketing.

Personally I believe that the old hacker ethos 'Data wants to be Free!' is whether we like it or not alive and well.

Just waiting for my digitally watermarked Spantaneous Exstacy picture set that got stolen by hackers from my members area to appear on a big commercial site then I will sue their Ass for megabucks. That got stolen before I even made it available to the members but I never did so that I can track it. So far my search bot found two pics from the set posted to a linkdump but the people concerned aint worth prosecuting.

Are you the owner of that domain?

fetish1 2006-01-26 11:50 AM

Mattinblack,
Sorry to sound like an ass here, but I don't read a lot of your posts, and yet in one I find you admitting to "borrowing" a layout from a sponsor site and making quite light of it once you were called out for it, and now you seem to be stating that you have varying degrees of indifference for content theft.
If I steal your car while it's sitting in your driveway it's grand theft auto, if I steal it while you leave it running outside the convenient store to run in for smokes does that make it grand borrow auto because you left the keys in it for me???
Theft is theft, and I think anytime we catch someone at it, we need to point it out to other webmasters and ban them immediately. This is a business to many, not a backstreet game of survival of the slickest.
Just my two cents...time to get to work.

Ohh, that is a good idea. I'm off to register "greenguy-linkorama-free-porn.com" Hey, and I'll also add to ensure that Google et al include my sites on all searches for "Greenguy" or "Linkorama". If I add it in the text enough, I may even get my site above GG's own site.

ecchi 2006-01-26 03:04 PM

However to be fair to Mattinblack, his point about viral marketing is a good one. When I started my paysite, years and years ago, I had no affiliate program, and found the best way to advertise it was to print a "Picture courtesy of" message on a whole pile of my own content (i.e. stuff I commissioned and owned copyright on), then make up free sites with a copyright notice saying "You may download these pictures and use them on your own site, post them on newsgroups etc, provided they are not altered in any way". I have no idea how well this worked though, because at the time I was new in the business and my paysite was shit, and the tour loaded so slowly that I was lucky to get the few members that I did get. No way of telling how many people visited the site from those pictures and would have joined if they had not realised in seconds that it was a waste of money.

Yeah that is one of my 50 or so domains... lol Mostly use it to host CGis that I call from other sites.

You are too late to get greenguys spot - if you google "greenguys linkorama" his page appears like *nowhere* and the top page is
http://the-greenguys-linkorama.ilikesex.info/
And nope ...nothing to do with me... but I have to admit it did originally give me the idea for http://hunfreeporn.com since loadsa people search for the Hun and loadsa people search for free porn. When the damned google engine starts hitting up the index page I will pretty up the site but till then its very much on the back burner with 5 other domains google isnt rankin yet.

Beaver Bob 2006-01-27 05:08 AM

IMO, using domains named after the good names of other already established sites is another form of theft. but thats just my opinion.

Good points Fetish. Its just me and the way I come across. You will notice in that same thread I realised how much of a prat I had been and did something about it PDQ working for 24 hours straight to redesign a 35 page site.

As for theft is theft I think there is a lot of grey you are ignoring in that statement. For example if the person who took your car without permission were your son? Best Friend? Spouse? Neighbour? FBI guy commandeering it to chase a terrorist?

Another example, which one of these two people do you think you would like?

1. A devoted family man born poor who made good. He worked and indeed carried on for many years his fathers business. This man did a lot for his country, bringing it out of recession and from a situation where queing for food was the norm to being a modern state. He worked hard all his life, winning many awards and publishing some books which are still widely read today. He was kind to children and loved animals.

2. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth this man never did a days real work in a job any of us would recognise. He did badly at school regularly being punished for poor work and lack of effort. He regularly reneged on bills, one club exhibiting his unpaid bills still today! A chain smoker and a heavy drinker he despised children and once said that the only good use for animals was for hunting. The only pet he owned was a parrot he taught to swear loudly at anybody who passed. The parrot had the last laugh though - it out lived him!

see bottom of post for who was who.

Circumstances and how much information you have plus how it is presented will always change things. For example way back before the Internet was publically available there used to be a bulletin board system - hell still is. Just looked. Its called 'The Well' where Count Zero and his friendly hackers hung out. Somebody posted anonymously on there details straight out of Digitals internal manual on how to fake a mainframe login. DEC understandably went mad, the Wells computers got seized - fifteen people who had downloaded and redistributed the info got threatened with prosecution however it all got thrown out of court because there was no concievable way they could have known the text was copyright or even that the source was correct or from within DEC.

Ok. 1 was Adolf Hitler.... 2 was Winston Churchill.... which one did you pick?

Jel 2006-01-27 07:42 AM

Well I'll be.................

Matt, I really can't say I care a lot for your way of thinking on the issues of theft, and using the already standing name of others to make some bucks. Sorry dude but I'm gonna have to remove your links from my pornstylist.com domain, just letting you know so you can pull down the links back to me.

As for that example, great spin, you sure you aren't a politician ;)

1. A guy who killed millions of innocent people.
2. A guy that brought about the suicide of guy #1.

Who would you like best?

LOL Repeat offenders "Quit" doing the crime while they are incarcerated Mattinblack. Justifying what you did with "I fixed it once busted" doesn't hold enough water when it comes to thinking it won't happen again.

As for the car theft example, again, taking on the "I'm probably being an ass" role here...I was quite clear. I stated, if I take YOUR car...we don't know each other, will never meet, and we are strangers to each other. People who try to work around the legal limits look for loopholes in most any statement. Perhaps you missed your calling as an atty! ;-)

At any rate, now in the three most major posts that I have paid attention to what you've had to say, we've added to the list of questionable practices se/traffic theft by way of spin off domains and once again, when called on it you come back with "LOL ...blah blah..."

I guess I just don't see the humor in theft that you. Nor do I find your lackadaisical comments very reassuring that your intent is not to continue the same actions repeatedly.

Again, just my opinion. Best of luck to you in what you do.
