Help, Linklists blocked in Thailand.
 

I moved to Thailand a couple of months ago to escape the cold winter and everything have been working fine until now. I was just about to submit a freesite a couple of minutes ago when I noticed I couldn't get through to alot of the linklists. Instead I get rerouted to another page and from what I've understood when translating the text. My access to LOR, Jays XXX Links for example is being restricted by the Ministry of Information. |banghead|

Not alot of LL's seem to be fans of submitters using proxy's, so I need some kind of workaround with out using proxy's. Is it even possible?

The first thing that springs up in my head is remote control.
Maybe you can ask a friend to put up and old pc for you with remote control and submit from that machine...

that's one of the reasons why I left Thai...

when there I used proxy, if link-list owners know you - that should be ok... but again, Thai Government BLOCK proxys too!! you should find new ones each 2-3 days.

I was there in October, only about 10 link-lists from 100 I submit to were blocked, but I heard the news - thai government plan to Block ALL pornsites after 1st January 2006. I would think it's impossible, but seeing how many sites they blocked already, it's pretty possible...


Ok, another trick you can try - setup a dedicated server somewhere in US and surf internet through it... talk to tech guys, they will tell you how it works... but again big chance Thais will block it too :(

I tried again today and it worked fine. Maybe they turn the filter on and off at certain times. It got to be quiet resource demanding for them too check every domain all the users try to access.

I setup new domain, next day it has been blocked... I was already waiting a knock-knock from Thai police at the door |crazy|

A sober example of how important some freedoms are. IMO you might want to check what the penalties are for accessing porn if not promoting it and post it here for curioisty sake. In China they can be up for execution depending on the morning tea leaves.|bullshit|
