Who to submit to?
Hello, I am about to take the plunge and start submitting sites to some LL's. My question is, should I just be grabbing a handfull of LL's and try to submit to them? I have read a few threads on submitting and it seems like "just submit and see how to traffic is". I realize that is something that I will be doing....later. But for now, I guess just submit and see what happens?
Also, I know there seems to be different opinions on this, but I was thinking as a good number to start with is 8-12 LL's. Sounds safe till I know what the hell I am doing LOL. Just wondering if that is what most people would recommend.|confused| Thanks. |
Hiya,
Yeah 12 LL's is a good number to start with until you get the hang off it. I started with 48 LL's and especially the first few times I was pretty scared to fuck up :) |
Yep. If I could start again I'd submit to 12.
I only started submitting a few days ago and I thought 35 was reasonable. It wasn't, it was too many. The fear of a screw up made the process take way to long. :) |

I would also recommend that you read and understand the rules for each list. From the looks of my submits most don't and they end up not getting listed. |
cool, thanks for the input guys!

Start off with the 12 or so as others have mentioned, but later, add another 10 to 12 and keep track of each link site on things like:
1. Do they approve your sites? 2. Do they inform you of anything that needs attention? 3. Are they quick with their reviews and approvals? There's more to the list but generally you want to create a good relationship with link sites, but also want to know your sites will be reviewed and approved in quick time. Think of it as customer service...for some its just a hobby, but generally its a business :) |
it would be a good idea to see your free sites first,
without it..Id recommend to submit to all who are easy with your sites ;) There are many guys who require much and then dont list ya at all ;) |
SortLinks is right...you could choose a select list of Link sites but once you start submitting your sites, those you've selected could reject your sites because of something which is why hard to say who to use when no one has seen your sites (lol...can I say "sites" one more time in this sentence :D). Best to select a batch yes, but over time see which ones are approving your sites and which owners you actually get along with as well...and are they the type willing to give you the time of day? Also, are they helpful when something isn't correct...just go on your own gut feelings and smarts when submitting...keep note on your previous activities and see which works for you :)
