Problem with splitting videos

When I cut mpeg videos with TMPGencC (or Easy VideoSplitter, Avi-mpeg splitter etc) everything seems to go well. However, on my website they appear to be much smaller in size than on my desktop: a 20 seconds movie only seems 10 or 11 seconds long.

How can I avoid this?

I know I achieve this with Source Range in TMPGenc. However, when I use that feature the file size of the video gets much bigger. I can compress it of course (using variable bit rate etc) but that has quite a negative effect on the video quality.

I had a look at your movies which are exactly 20 secs. Do you whatch them in windows mediaplayer? If so, wmp sometimes doesnīt show the exactly playtime but cuts off a half or so. So maybe thatīs the problem.

I do watch them in Windows Media Player. Is there a way to split the videos in such a way that the exact play time is shown in WMP as well while the video quaility/size stays the same?
