The diffence between video clips and
how can i tell if there using vid caps or not? I've been told i'm using video caps on a bunch of my free sites, when sponsers claim there pictures and such. Is there a sure way to tell? How do you tell?

A vidcap is a picture, just taken from the film. Vidcaps tend to be all horizontal and the biggest giveaway is that there tends to be blurring in images because they are taken from moving pictures. That's what we dislike about them.
On many of the vidcaps I see submitted you can also see telltale traces of scanlines in the images which kinda gives it away. Some LL's will take vidcaps, as long as they are not blurry. Hope that helps. |
Actually that helps me out alot. Thanks :)

Also vid caps tend to be lower in original file size then a comprable picture. After awhile you can recognize them almost immediately. You can just use your photo manager to blow it up and see what happens. If it starts to get real grainy then you know. A real pic will keep its picture integrity as it gets larger.
