Bell - someone is using my name - and needs to STOP...
 

Hi gang...

it's been brought to my attention that there is someone else out there using my name "Bell"...

they are using it for submitting sites...

so far the eMail contact address for them has been:
webmaster@somewhatugly.com

I tried to reach them there - and it bounced back...

if you get any sites submitted to you - by someone using the name "Bell" it is NOT me...

perhaps whoever they are - they'll see this and STOP using my name...

does anyone else have a way for me to reach this person...
to get them to stop...

does anyone know a "William Baan" in " Patchogue, New York 11722"

William - if you see this - STOP using my name - you know exactly what you are doing by trying to benefit from my good rep...
STOP... create another name to use...

Yep, thanks for the heads up there Bell, been getting those submits myself - that email bouncing is probably why he hasn't been getting my rejection reasons.

I hate to say it, but Bell is not really a unique name. And what kind of shady crap does he do to entitle a sponsor to drop his account?

The only sites I had were 1,5 year old sites that were imported from another DB, they don't have a name attached to them. So could not see what name he submitted under back then.

There is nothing shady going on...my sponsors do not have anything to complain about.

I follow all the rules of the sites I submit to.

I leave my sites up forever.

I have used the nick "bell" for a very long time...probably well before the other bell.

I have to agree with this...Bell isn't exactly a unique name to come up with. I have signed up for various sponsors and couldn't use Fetish1 because it was taken but I don't think I can contact the sponsor and ask them to ban that person for it.

If you don't submit free sites anyway, and any one of us has access to whois, I don't know how it could be mistaken that this is you when the person submits with "bell".

Apparently there have been other issues with this guy (from what HarryMuff stated, and GG's comment in RawAlex's post) but I don't think anyone would necessarily blacklist for a name being the same. |huh

My thoughts exactly. I am not about to go around and tell people to stop using the name, Jim :) I have checked a big email list that I have and I found 13 people going by the name of bell@something.com.

The guy may be a scumbag but if he is not spoofing your email address (Like I get all the time), he may not have a clue or care who you are.

I don't imagine too many of his sites get accepted anyway...

I did get a letter that said - we all might be surprised to know that
he is someone we all know... and would be shocked to know that
he does this sort of thing - (as in redirects / cheating /etc.)
but then again - who knows if the letter was true or not...
