Free Site Rejected

Hey guys.:D Total noobie here.Just made a free site and it got rejected. Can someone tell me whats wrong with it?Thanks. http://www.dickheadshit.com/022506enter.html

Where do I begin? ok first off JJJ's is not a link list. Your full size pics are way too big. You have links opening in new windows. That took me less than 30 seconds and they are all reject reasons for me.

Star Man 2006-02-27 07:48 PM

ok,but what do you mean when you say "You have links opening in new windows"?

CrazySy 2006-02-27 08:40 PM

Your sponsor links open in new window.

welcome star man I was the one who gave a reject reason to seek help here... best thing to do is read and ask a few questions, - new windows is when a browser open a new web page...target=blank is a on no

To add to the points Surfn observed...

Always makes me wonder when a free site builder only has one actual sponsor link on each page. Either they haven't done their research and are unaware that 3 outlinks are permitted. Or, they plan on making some 'adjustments' after approval. In either case, it's one of those things that makes a reviewer go...hmmmm

Star Man...don't give a reviewer reasons to decline your sites. Give them reasons to accept your submissions! Your site layout is actually fairly clean. Use those 3 outbound links to make sales...we want you to make sales! The more sales you make from our traffic, the more likely you are to keep submitting quality sites...it's a win win |thumb

Oh, also you'll find that a lot of reviewers...myself included...won't accept numbered entry pages. Either learn free site directory structures (some good threads in these forums...Here's One) so you can submit an 'index' page to all sites. Or, limit yourself to one mirror so you only need one index. Or, use keyword names for your mirrors...however, there are some link sites that won't accept these...my site does.

Hmmm...yea, think that's all I got :)

I just wanted to ditto the above. If you take all the time to put a site togther and submit it around then you want to get the most out of it you can. Adding other sponsors to your main page with similar sites the surfer might be interested in and teased to visit is important.

You might want to link one or the other of your banners too. Using smaller ones could give you more room for "sales text" or another sponsor banner. Give people something to read, you could reorganize your main page to have three different sponsors presented. Same thing with your second content page, it could be a page from another niche related site. Graphics are colorful, but think about page loading time and design simply. A lot of people still have 56k dial up and I've even heard that some reviewers do |banghead| and you can be rejected for too slow load speed!

Good luck!

Your pages don't render correctly in Moz/FF/NN. It's just the div positioning being out of alignment. Load times are important and you're not that far out of the ball park really.

At 3:00am PST I showed, (56k, which doesn't really run at 56k)
index - <22 seconds
main - <25 sec
gal1 - <32 sec
gal2 - <33 sec
sponser landing pg - <25 sec

Of course load times are heavily geo influenced.

make sure you link something to the sponsors site on the index page - If I remember correctly from when I was making free sites, if the index page is good enough in the advertising dept - 50% of your sales will come from that page - meaning you wont have to burn any bandwidth on pictures

make the full size pictures at least 500 on the long side - unless my computer is messing up they are less than that

get a better web page maker - or do the coding in notepad - youre eating bandwidth with all that extra coding in the pages put in by your site maker
