Newbie Here! Best AVS website to start... or should we?
What is the best AVS website to start?
Adultbouncer...DeluxePass...any others???? We want to start an adult site to gain experience and we want to try to start one first.. Is this a good move or would you experts recommend anything else. We don't have access to exclusive content, so we want to use others. We have a team of tech experts and financial backing... So hopefully tech, time, and money won't be an issue... I have design experience so that won't be an issue... I have datacenter access (Unlimited Bandwidth, Power, Rackspace) so that won't be an issue... We have business experience just not in adult. Any feedbackup would be appreciated and then I will update the post with answers/feedbackup to your questions/comments. Thanks in advance. Love the board great resource!!! |
IMHO, AVS is dead & based on your list of what you have, just look into credit card processing thru a 3rd party like CCBill or Epoch.

Thanks for the response Greenguy!!
Since AVS is dead.... With the resources we have available (Datacenter, design, hosting, bandwidth) what type of site would you suggest we start to make some money. I know the questions is real generic but we want to get into the biz and LEARN but need some direction on what type of biz will allows us to learn and at the same time make some money. Are their up and coming markets? sites? niche? Example: In the hosting business the shared market is dead. If you don't have your market share now..don't even start, you are wasting your time. Everything now is in the dedicated server or VPS market. Can you apply this theory to the adult business and give us an idea on what market is something we should get into? |
I'd try to base a paysite on what I'm interested in as opposed to what I think/hope other's might be interested in. It's always easier to sell a product if you yourself like it.

Also check out cozyacademy.com and read up on a lot of tutorials then get an idea of what parts of the business you like, then move from there

I think avs is still marketable, but only if your selling avs membership, still works for me, to a point. On a big scale, I'm not so sure. People use to make money with avs sites by upselling the avs members, but thats pretty much dead, least the traffic is not like it use to be, not even close. And as GreenGuy said, it sure is tougher to sell the memberships, The CC companies really clamped down.
Then again, starting a premium AVS is very similar to a paysite, could be a good way to test the paysite waters without a lot of cash. See if you have what it takes before spending a ton of money on a paysite. ronnie |
Well AVS are not dead (yet) and there is still good money to make with them. For sure, it's the best rebillers and probably the best traffic
