Belgium:

Standard renting price for an appartment: 400-750 EUR/month
Standard buy price for an appartment: 100,000 - 200,000 EUR
Standard buy price for a house: 200,000 EUR - ???
Beer: 1.30 - 1.60 EUR for 25cl
Whiskey Coke: 4.50 - 5.50 EUR
Gass: 1 EUR/Liter(Diesel) - 1.3 Eur/Liter
Taxes: about 55%

I'd recommend Spain or Portugal, the other countries are too expensive, or you should go to one of the East European countries (although they're catching with the prices to).

Working from fonz's method...

Standard renting price for an appartment(2 bed): £500 - £800
Standard buy price for an appartment: (2 bed): £85,000 - £155,000
Standard buy price for a house: south>> £200,000 North £140000
Beer: 2.00 for a Pint
Whiskey Coke: £3.50 Pub £4.25 Club
Gass: £0.90 a litre
Taxes: about 30% 40% if you make above £30,000 a year

ohh and sorry... 2meg Broadband about £18.00

Food varies depending on your diet!

Lets see - approx 4 Liters per gallon - and we bitch about gas prices LOL
