OK....so I just upgraded to a dedicated server...1 Gig RAM....P4 2.4.....unlimited bandwidth....etc etc...

What the hell should I do with it....

Seriously...other than freesitexxx.com moving to it....I need other ideas to utilize and pay for this mini-monster...

Would you....
Make some small TGPs?
Make a shit load of free sites.....
TopLists?

Given a white canvas....what would ya do....

Try a little of everything - seeing as you're paying for the box, might as well put it to good use :)

Yes I'd try a bit of everything too. Building free sites and galleries will do it and bring you in some extra money too.

The beauty of having a dedicated box is you do not for the most part need to worry about bandwidth at first so it's all gravy money.

Try a few movie sites and galleries

Definately give movies a try!
TGP galleries, free sites, avs sites and maybe create a toplist or a tgp of your own later.

Yeah I figured with unlimited bandwidth movie galleries would now be a possibility....

So I'll make those and free sites #1....might even get a TGP/UCJ site going so I have some traffic to toss around...

well it seems like you have real unlimited BW.......over 15MB/s atleast......and your paying $600 a month so put it to use heavily, make loads of movie gallerys and sites, get partner id's with tgps and mgps (if you havent already) and submit movie gallerys to their maximum daily gallery limit......also get some toplists and maybe a tgp going......link all your free sites and gallerys to the tgp and toplists......hmmm, im telling ya stiff ya already know, right? :) lol

Im with GG on this one, do all of the above, and than some, push the bitch to the limits and watch the money roll in to make you buy another one and do it all over again. or ofcourse you can send it to me, we can replace the piece of shit we have setup in the back of the office to do little office tasks :)

i just dont see how any company can offer that and expect to be alive in 6 months.

if you set that baby to full throttle your outgoing bandwidth alone would be well under $0.01 per GB xfer. not to mention you are gong to have another 10% or so of incoming packets.

at a fraction of a penny per GB... this guy would have to own worldcom or something... and i doubt that would cover their operating costs...

am i missing something here?

Yeah....I don't think it's truely unlimited......more like "unlimited within reason".....about 2 years ago....I used him and the hun posted a few of my galleries.....had like 60000 hits to just one of them....so of course they were like "ahhhhhhh what the hell is going on!"......

So unlimited ....within reason....

Unlimited bandwidth is uaually based on the server speed. So if it's 15Mbs then you're looking at about 4800 Gigs a month. That's a lot. LOL

Not too many people do that. Most companies offer this and many webmasters burn more like 3-4 Mbps the first several months (or longer) so they rarely use more than 1000Gigs.

in theory the servers they have could push in excess of 60Mbps.

and thats just outgoing.
