PR is not as important as everyone thinks... here's a classic example
There is a two word term that I have #1 on google for and my site is PR4 and my url is something like this http://www.mysite.com/keyword1-keyword2.html
The #2 ranking on google is PR7 for this term, and he even has it on his index page! (in this format http://www.keyword1-keyword2.com) Both of our sites are about equally optimized, and the inbound links to our sites use the same anchor texts, yet my PR4 is ranked above his PR7 for the same term we are targetting. Why is this? The only reason why I am ranked higher than him is because I have more relevant links pointing in, his links pointing are from from sites that are not relevant. It's all quite logical if you think about it. Having said that, if anyone wants to hook up some "relevant" link trades, please contact me kushATbeufords.com I have alot I can offer you ;) |
I agree with you on the importance of Google PR. |santa|

At this point, PR appears to be very useful for getting new sites listed, or getting changes picked up quickly. PR4 or higher seems to get botted every other day.

But we must remember... PR is certainly a good ego boost |bananna|
