Paysite Reps and Passwords

I recently started a new project, adult website reviews in a blog format. I thought this would be a great idea and an easy way to make sales and have plenty of easy to create and write content at my fingertips.

Unfortunately this is not the case.

I wrote several of my longtime sponsors, some that I have been making tens of thousands of dollars for for as long as 8 years, and asked for temp passwords.

Most never replied.

Now, I dont believe in piss and vinegar any more, so I wont mention the programs that ignored the request. Instead I'd like to take it on a more positive note and list the ones that gladly gave up a temp pass so reviews could be written.

1) nastydollars
2) badgirlbucks
3) traffic cash gold

these programs have done a great job, their sites will get reviewed and when I dump traffic on the new project I hope that they will be rewarded from it, thank you.

for those programs that I've waited for for almost 2 weeks now... what is the problem? are you afraid of letting a webmaster see the inside of your sites?

Certainly I can/would expect this kind of behavior from a program that I havent made money for but to have generated signup figures in the 3 and 4 digits.... just seems rediculous to me.

The point of this post is just to simply say:

It is easier to hire a hacker to get me into a paysite that I promote, 9/10 times, than it is to get in there legitimately for the purposes of reviewing.
sad days.

If you need passes to our sites, let me know in a PM or ICQ or something and I'll let you know who to contact instead of the general support email.

Might have to do it in stages since it's not a never ending pass, and we have 310 sites :) I've had some people get passes, then contact me a month later saying they never got to us and it expired. So let us know if/when you need them please.

Boogie 2006-03-28 11:30 AM

hey PR_TOM, will probably do exactly that in the next few days (i'm actually helping move my GF, we're packing up all this week and moving her this weekend)

will let ya know after that. I appreciate the kindness of that offer |thumb

~looking through the mirror from the other side~

From the Strange But True section of the Things Sponsors Can't Believe' files. There are a couple sections of text we can control in the CCBill email that goes to a webmaster when they sign up for our program. In one of them I put an offer to contact me to get a pass to look around the members area. In the last year we've had less than 10 webmasters ask for a pass. It's my address for contact in the email, so that kind of thing is first-hand amazement for me too.

I give out temp passwords all the time to FoxyAngel.com. All it takes it an email, PM, or ICQ. :)

Ms Naughty 2006-03-28 05:42 PM

It's a lot easier to promote a site properly if you have some idea what's inside it. As an affiliate I've often wished I could have a proper look at what I'm selling, just so I can expand my text ads beyond the boringly obvious.

I know some programs want you to have made at least one sale before you get a pw to look around - that way they know you're not just a devious surfer. Obviously in your case, Boogie, that's not a problem.

I doubt you'll want to review FTG, but if you're interested you can send me a pm.

Check your private messages my :)

Boogie, I recommend starting off with a few paysites that link back to their reviews. Usually they're more receptive to login requests, and if you write a decent review they might link back to you and give you a little boost in SERPs.

alessandro 2006-03-29 05:02 AM

I've requested temp passwords in the past too and going to do it again soon as I need new reviews for a new site I've revamped few weeks ago. I also have to say that there were sponsors who gave me temp u/p within minutes ( when discussing with them on icq ) and I can enumerate some of them here: *************, topbucks, pimproll and others who said they don't give out temp passwords to webmasters.

However, what I can't understand is: what are they afraid off? Do they think that webmasters who promoted them for 1, 2, 3 or even more years, made them money would mess their members area? Would those long run webmasters take the risk to damage their reputations? Don't think so. 3 day trial memberships are cheap, webmasters can definitely afford them if necessary :D

Boogie I know exactly how you feel. One of my other companies were doing paysite reviews for a customer (over 700 of them). Getting the passwords was pretty well damn impossible for the majority of sponsors.

If you ever need a password to review our sites just let me know and I will give it to you immediately. We often give passwords to our webmasters because we are revshare based and some like to see our members area prior to sending traffic to make sure it is something that may retain. We are proud of our content and proud of the fact we constantly update and have no problems with letting people see what we do.

sukime69 2006-03-30 03:36 PM

I just love it when one of my affiliates requests a password to look around the member area and review it. I get excited cause that leads me to believe they are really going to promote.

When I was on the other side as an affiliate, I always pushed sites harder that let me in to have a look around. Much easier to sell something once you know what you are selling.

And worst case scenario, the password could be abused for what, 2 or 3 days?? Nope, anbody wants a password to review our sites or have a look around, hit me up on icq and you will have it immediately.

Seems like I just posted to another thread about poor customer service, seems like a theme tonight.

Wizzo 2006-04-04 11:07 AM

Hit me up Boogie, or any other legit WM and we'll be glad to give you lifetime password to any of our sites... Unlike alot of sponsors, we see affiliates as partners and partners should have access to the sites...;)

Phoenix 2006-04-04 01:20 PM

i can give you a pass for reveiw...just get in touch

TopbucksTrixxxi 2006-04-04 01:28 PM

Boogie - please, hit me up if you need one. *NOTE* Icq seems to be on the brinks today but my email is patrizia@seekio.com. In the case of Topbucks, some affiliates actually already qualify and 'have' access, you just gotta mouseover MARKETING and check the last button on the sub-menu :) If there's nothing that looks like access to the sites, please hit me up.

You did, or did not get a temp password from us? You should have not had trouble to do reviews or look things over.

I'm not sure why someone would absolutely not let an affiliate see what they're promoting, lol. Makes no sense |crazy|

Because some affiliates are scumbags - I'm sure somewhere down the line some ass requested a password & posted it on his hack site or something like that.

I can see where a program would not want to give out a un/pw to a new or small webmaster - and it should be based on prior performance and/or references (not that Boogie is a crappy webmaster :D)

sunshine 2006-04-05 06:15 PM

I'm not sure if you've tried to contact us at ARS. We will always give out temp username/passwords for review. You can contact me at techsupport@i2intl.com or hit me up on icq at 195639.

alessandro 2006-04-05 07:41 PM

I'm glad you posted here sunshine, I'll hit you up too for a temp username/password sometime this week :)

Another point to add to that is some affiliates think it's their 'right' to rip a good part of the site and put it up, all nice and dandy, as their own 'paysite'. So like GG said, reputation, performance &/or potential. If you aren't already eligible, it's always best to get in contact with your rep - create a rapport. *This goes for 'new' webmasters to a program.

boobster 2006-04-06 11:15 AM

well, I've been runing blog like that for 2 years now, and I almost never had that problem (guess I was dealing with the right people).. now I'm at the point when they send me passes and everything, asking me to feature their websites on my blog... so, I guess the start can be a bit harder (like always), but once the things start rolling - it's all easy... good luck with it!

mattot 2006-04-06 11:44 AM

Boogie if you still after passes for sites to review hit me hit up and i can sort you out some for our sites.
