Gossip and Specualtion...
Looks like some more big changes are on the way in Google results.
DD |
Damn you, now how am I suppose to sleep?
|couch| |
yep - you can see a preview on www2.google.com :)
interesting algo shift - looks like internal linking is down and external links to internal pages is up |
Hmm, not really what I wanted to see, but atleast this time it looks like I won't drop to #10+, like I did the last time.
|
Yes, I would say that I am seeing more inside pages showing as the "highest result" for a domain, rather than the root.
Based on what I found poking around, I like what is on www2 right now... less spam, but some really obvious stuff still lives on. Alex |
Linkster...
Any idea when the new Google algo will go into effect? I like what I see so far... Pusher |
Pusher - it looks like they are already bringing it in - SERPs are changing some right now - its the filters they want to try that will be coming in (my guess anyway) over the next week or so
|
Pusher..
Posts like mine should have "use by" dates, insofar as my comments only having relevance for the 2-3 days after I posted them. Google "updates" every day now..and throws in some major changes based on a timtable only Google knows. Thats said.. another largish change/update is coming.[this comment has no value after 25th Dec] DD |
Yeah - I just wrote a page and it was indexed and ranks well for a pretty good term last week and it was in Google in less than 72 hours and on the serps.
|
Just an isolated example of how Google is currently working......
I have a number 1 and number 2 for a reasonable keyword combination on Google. The page is only days old and has no PageRank at all 0/10. I assume that if PageRank is assigned to it soon it will only be quite low. The site is higher than several PR4's. |
