I'm just wondering if it would considered jumping the gun if I dumped my AVN/Adbrite stock immediately...

New Development Just In

"Useless Warrior spends 15 hours a day surfing Fusker in search of free porn". |couch|

heh-heh... Adengage did take the step of removing fusker from their system ( I checked a bunch of Fusker sites, couldn't find any adengage stuff ). However, it should be noted that fusker.com and about 50 clone sites are still up and running, so don't drop your fusker guard.

I am wondering if taking away the income source didn't finally do them in?

Alex

Great, now we can just hope that it stays that way.

This is a link off of the Fusker dot com page,

"404 killer dot com"

Does this piece of shit really work?

Ms Naughty 2006-04-08 08:19 AM

When I saw that page this morning, I cheered like we'd all just blown up the Death Star.

bunky2u 2006-04-08 02:13 PM

There are still other Fusker sites out there... but this is a good start, it does feel like we have won a battle but still have a war going on.

RawAlex 2006-04-08 02:53 PM

fusker.lewww was the biggest and best of the fusker sites, and it is now totally gone. I poked inside their chat forums, and it looks like it might have been a fatal hack job.

Either way, they are gone, and good riddence to bad garbage.

Well, I think I speak for all of us when I say "job well done" to the benevolent hacker, and to the AW's who financed the hack job. (I am just assuming that is what happened...)

Sumrpal 2006-04-09 08:26 AM

Well, I guess "404 killer dot com" is old news to all of you. I must have missed that memo. My apologies for interupting the thread.

No, it was the first I heard of it. But I kind of do not worry about this because my second line of defence against hotlinking is to rename pictures. Then I replace the original with a jpg or gif that just has a bit of text about the webmaster being dishonest and that any surfer reading this would be well advised not to spend any money on this site, or even click the links as it may lead a a virus. I don't do this to all pics (would take more than 24 hours a day) but I figure if someone is displaying a lot of my pics and they get that message a few times on their site they will stop hitting me.

digifan 2006-04-09 02:37 PM

I saw lately that the big linkdump sites also use the same advertising companies now and accept paid links only.. things that make you go hmmm.
