Question about Exit link
Hi! i have the question:
why i have put google.com or yahoo.com for exit link? Can i put link of any non adult commercual thing - internet shop etc.. ? if it is ok - can you recomend some for exit link?:D |
I recommend NO exit link :D
|
An exit link should be something non-adult, but if you use a referral code for some mainstream program, some people may count it as one of the ads on that page.
|
Really depends on the type of site you have....as surfn said, No Exit link on some would be ok, and others you would definitely want to have it. As GG mentioned about the referral code, some who seem to like counting the number of ads in a site will count it as an ad.
I used to use an exit link to an affiliate product, but to be honest, its wasted use of space because I doubt there is really enough peeps who click on Exit anyways. If they got to your site, they were probably already surfing porn anyways. |

Here's something to think about: no exit link (which is perfectly acceptable) means a less likely hood of being declined by some sites. I know I look harder at sites with exit links and even harder at exit links that don't go to google or yahoo...
|
I just started putting up exits because I thought LL owners liked it.But after reading this I'm through with them.I find them completely irrelivent anyway. What kind of jerk off is going to look for porn, and then puss out at the last second? And not know how to use the back button on top of it!Also I should be more concerned with google sending traffic my way.

Yea, there's certainly two sides to the debate. When I was building free sites, I always used an exit. However, I can also understand the argument that there's no need for one. So, I do not require them for listings at Free Porn Post.
However, if an exit is used...it must not in any way be adult related. I say this because you wouldn't believe the number of sites I see with the exit going to AFF, or gambling sites, or some other obviously adult related sites. |

They have a back button if they want to leave. |
I'd just like to go on record that I prefer exit links, that I've used them on all the sites that I've made in the past & that an "enter" link without an "exit" link is like a room with one door that's labled "ENTRTANCE ONLY - NO EXIT"

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. :D |

I agree with everyone that thinks there should be a non adult exit link as a "good faith" gesture to back up your warning statement.
You could say "close your browser" instead of "exit here" but that seems lame. |
I started off using exit links on freesite warning pages, but ditched them after reading here that they weren't necessary. I didn't want to just send someone off to Google or Yahoo if they clicked it, but I had a hard time finding suitable other places to use.
The idea of creating my own non-adult page/site to link to using the exit link never occured to me at all. |dizzy| |
