Posting other boards for promo?

Ok everyone don't jump on me for posting this. I'm sure by now everyone understands that they are needed for promo to webmasters. So my question is what boards do you promo on to reach other WM? Do you use the same board name if you can? How much info do you tell about the program. Everything or just enough to get WM to contact you? BTW Jim pack up that buddy I have a spot for him right on the bow of my boat. Thanks Jugg..

Surfn 2006-04-09 11:19 PM

I've used this same nick since I began on the adult side on countless boards. If someone uses different nicks on different boards it creates suspicion in my mind.

Cleo 2006-04-09 11:47 PM

I just post pics of my tits while I'm getting tattooed…

Yeah and one nick always everywhere forever.

Ms Naughty 2006-04-10 02:10 AM

Actually, here is one of the few places where I didn't sign up under KarenJ. I don't know why I did it.

Useless 2006-04-10 07:48 AM

When I first discovered webmaster boards, I posted on a bunch of 'em. But frankly, as much as I often stray from topic, I'm not a huge chit chat guy. On most other boards, especially the other really big ones, you can't find business threads due to all the bullshit 'I'm having a bad day' and 'Pics of my new car' threads. If I was soliciting a program, that would be fine as it's a super easy way to get your sig seen without effort. However, as a simple webmaster, it's not worth my effort. It's hard to take most other boards seriously. And for those of you have seen my somewhat obvious emotional breakdowns on the board, you know that I can take this place pretty seriously.

lol- I thought that you were two different people (perhaps business partners) until last week

Simon 2006-04-10 10:04 AM

I took "Simon" everywhere I could, but even a few years ago I had to go with SimonSays on some places. I think those are the only ones I use.

Different name, but still the same wholesome, pure hearted, good natured... aww, you know the rest. :D

Simon

kristian 2006-04-10 10:13 AM

I use Kristian as my online name.

The actual name on my birth cerificate is Horny I. B. A. Prevert

MrYum 2006-04-10 10:35 AM

I'm MrYum everywhere I post.

But, this is the only place I post with any regularity...you poor souls :D

selena 2006-04-10 11:40 AM

I'm selena everywhere, including my birth certificate. :)

virgohippy 2006-04-14 06:38 PM

Why would anyone want to be called virgohippy?

Greenguy 2006-04-14 11:31 PM

I think the real question is: Why would anyone want to be called Skippy?

juggernaut 2006-04-14 11:42 PM

I love that thing dude lol.

I'm Mizz B on the 3 or 4 boards I drop in on, and my nick is what my mom used to call me, especially when I was in her 'bad books.'

I don't find much time for chit chat, but this board has become the first place I look for news. Being a TGPer (nearly 7 years) I find that pertinent info is more readily available on GG&J and Medium Pimpin' whereas a lot of others fall into the thread my favorite warrior has mentioned...a lot of threads for the sake of threads junk.

I guess I'm one of those 'serious' webmasters/mistresses who don't really have time to hang out on the boards, but I do appreciate the few that offer worthwhile info and news.

What I appreciate here is knowing if something I need to know about is happening, I'll hear about it. But I do have to admit to browsing here just for the chuckles! ;)

GG you get me every time with whatever script this is that's designed to include me in the conversation! It's still so disconcerting...even after all this time...even though I recognizing that it's a con!

Why would anyone want to be called Mizz B?

Well, I'd really like to know why anyone would want to be called Green Guy...though your cute lil logo has become so recognizable, in all its incarnations.

Mizz B is what my mom used to call me when I'd done something she wasn't too happy about.

OK, how about the rest of you...what's the origin of your nick?

(I cheated, and snagged this from an email notify... can't fool me greenie!)

At least as greenguy you get to be a cute and lovable little bastard. What's a virgohippy? Some sponge of society, smelly, hairy dude, who obsesses about perfection in porn? Pfft! |loony|

I've always been a virgo, but the hippy thing just kinda stuck. It was either that or longhairedsandalwearingtreehugginghippyfreak. You'd have to ask my family to get the full explenation. I still get that one from them when I visit. Must be because of the eye-liner. |crazy|

When I first started designing websites it was to push series of magazines and books I was trying to get published, and Paul Ecchi was the pen name I was using. Neither the magazines or books got beyond the printing of a test run, but I kept the name.

As to the origin of the name, well Paul is my real name, and Ecchi is Japanese. Depending on whether you use the European style of surname last, or the Japanese style of surname first, Paul Ecchi translates as either "Paul The Pervert" or "Perverted Paul". Now See if you can guess what kind of magazines and books I was going to publish!

terry 2006-04-15 08:09 AM

I try to get the same name everywhere.

MeatPounder 2006-04-15 01:04 PM

bunky2u 2006-04-15 01:18 PM
