Freesite Review
Hi all,
It's been a a good few months since I built / submitted any freesites, but I'm hoping that things have quitened down enough for me to get back to that aspect of business now! I'm in the process of rebuilding all my recip tables and checking the rules for LLs old and new (there seem to be a lot more around than there used to be!), but I'd be grateful if someone could look over this recip-free version of my first current attemp at a freesite and point out any errors etc. It's aimed at the MILF / Mature niche BTW. http://www.milf-porn-links.com/free-milf/1/0/index.html All comments appreciated. TIA Rob. |

Drop the links to PussyCash and your hub on the 2257 page. You really shouldn't have any links out on that page unless it's a link back to the free site. What's the difference between the link on the banners and the link code on your text links? (Just a point of curiosity.) I'd add a mouseover on all of the sponsor links. Those ImLive links are scary. The galleries are very clean and balanced. That's a good looking site. |thumb |
Other than the points UW brought up, I got nuthin to add.
Very nice clean site...well done |thumb Definitely clean up the 2257 page though...that's an immediate decline with most reviewers. |
Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated!
I'll definitely pull the links off the 2257 page. I just assumed that since the content comes from pussycash, a link to the record holder would be helpful. UW, the banner links are generated for you when you download the banners, as are predefined text links - there's an official looking notice saying you can't change any of the creative, including text, graphics etc. But you also have the option of using a generic link for your own text / banners, which is what I've used on the text links. I assume the differences are for tracking purposes? Mouseovers - good point. Are they accepted everywhere? I've seen a lot of LLs explicitly say they're ok, others don't mention anything about them, some just say no javascript, which I guess could cover mouseovers too. Rob. |
That would make sense on the different codes. Just make sure your tracking code is intact :)
I'm not aware of any link sites that decline for use of mouseovers...as long as, the status bar only shows the url of the paysite "www.bestestpaysiteevah.com" and the status bar returns to a normal state on mouseout. Just using the onmouseover in your links should be fine |thumb |
This type of mouseover should be accepted pretty much everywhere:
I think Tommy's is the only place where I've seen a no mouseover rule, but he's a paid submitter account place anyway, so you probably don't have to worry about his rules. |

Firefox doesn't enable status bar changes by default, try this... Tools>Options>Advances>Change Status Bar Text Check the box and you should see em working :) |
Just a small tip, if you use this code:
That will still show the sponsor url when right clicking on the link (99%) in IE |thumb |

Should be... Tools>Options>Content>Advanced>Change Status Bar Text Sorry for any confusion |banghead| |

Thanks for the info, I'll be changing the links to mouseovers. And no, UW, I don't intend to worry about Tommy's rules for a long time yet, though I recall reading that good traffic comes from there. Maybe when I'm a little more affluent I'll give him a whirl.
