Has anyone bought blog traffic?

Have any of you guys purchased blog traffic? maybe from a company like this one http://buyblogtraffic.com/

If so, did you experience an increase in bookmarkers or other sustained growth patterns? It seems like a decent way to feed your blog.

OK, I will answer the question lol. I feel it is a great way to recieve blog traffic but depending on who you go with you could just be waisting money. I would not spend $$ on 404s or Pop-unders but go with targeted niche traffic which you should do best if you have your site optimized and designed efficiently.

cheers

Assuming he does all that correctly what percentage of your traffic do you guarantee will become bookmarkers?

Took the words out of my mouth. I need bookmarkers to sustain growth for my blog, I just want individuals who are interested in what I have to say and offer in the way of entertainment on my blog/directory.

If the audience is unreceptive to my overall theme it's wothless to me. I need intelligent surfers who are used to the same old same old but willing to try something different. And I am willing to pay a premium to gain them as bookmarkers.

walrus 2006-04-23 10:11 PM

karomesis, I've got to be honest with you, I don't think buying traffic is effective for blogs plus it's just too easy to start generating traffic quickly to spend money for questionable traffic. Especially since you've said your blog is going to be more centered around a specific lifestyle rather than just for the purpose of slinging porn.

PM me your e-mail, if you'd like, and I'll dump what little information I've accumulated on the subject and give you some good links to other places that might stimulate your imagination. (been meaning to do an adult blogging 101 type thing for my blogging tools anyway, this would pretty much force me to do it)

Then you can post some pointed questions for the boogie or kristian, the two resident blog guru's.

karomesis 2006-04-23 10:30 PM

Thanks walrus. Would you mind if I icq you, I tried to earlier but I'm still waiting for authorization.|banghead|

walrus 2006-04-23 10:40 PM

sorry, don't pay much attention to my ICQ. your authorized!

cellinis 2006-04-24 01:43 AM

My 2c.... Buyblogtraffic.com is selling traffic from some of the bigger blogs on the blog. Unless you have something completely unique, bigger, better and equally well presented, you will probably not get a lot of bookmarkers.
And Walrus is right, getting blog traffic at the start is pretty easy. It is making it explode... turn it into a 50-100k a day blog that is tough!! I'm still breaking my head on that!

What do you base this on sigwhore?
Certainly not that site you keep spamming...I got bread older than that one.

Ill answer the question. My experience with blog traffic is that is is good for branding for the most part. If your looking for bookmarkers youd better have a unique site that people will come back to see daily.

If your looking for joins or sales... forget it!

ROFLMAO, that's the best line I've read in weeks. You should get that put on a t-shirt. |bow|

karomesis 2006-04-24 03:15 PM

thanks for the replies guys|thumb

I will certainly have a unique site. I just want people to come back and stay awhile, make themselves at home, and eventually whip out their wallet when they realize the site has much to offer in the way of clickable entertainment and reviews.

When I go to a site, I want to experience the warmth of the models smiles, the rapture of ecstacy, and other refinements of debauchery.

Hopefully, there are others out there who are inclined likewise.

Glad you like it. I always seem to keep my sense of humor!

Just because I am trying to get my site out there, was your site not once new?

It's the way your doing it.

Joemeca, the worst thing in the world is to have a 10 day old site and trying to present yourself as knowing all.

Try a sales pitch that involves "I'm new but I think I might have something for you" rather than just sigwhoring and blank posts. If that is your entire sales pitch, I just can't wait to see your site (note I wouldn't click on your link for all the tea in china).
