Opinions On the new CCBills affiliate Admin?

Hi

Just clicked "convert" and I must say that.... hmmm so far I find it less user friendly than the old one... maybe because its beta, how about you ?

The Java version does not work in Mozilla, it keeps on wanting to upgrade my Java, but I already have the latest version.

So I chose the html version which does seems to work ok, but somehow seems overly complicated and is too wide for my normal browser screen.

I liked the old version better.

Dr Bizzaro 2003-12-13 08:24 AM

I think I'll just wait till they force me to convert.

ardentgent 2003-12-13 08:33 AM

My opinion is it sucks!!!!

While it provides more information it is very, very slow.

Extreme John 2003-12-13 09:20 AM

Yeah I hated the last upgrade, it consistantly caused us to fuck up our Java accross every office computer, and now more upgrades.... Good times.. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Ramster 2003-12-13 10:33 AM

Can you say slow! Damn, it's slow. And yes Cleo, too wide for my screen. I don't like it at all yet.

Cleo 2003-12-13 10:39 AM

Maybe CCBill is planing on buying us all 30" screens so that we can view their new stats without scrolling sideways. :P

That and a T-3 internet connection so that we can quickly view our stats.

Wait I still want that newer version of JAVA that is even newer then the version that I'm already running.

grzepa 2003-12-13 11:03 AM

Glad to hear it sucks in your opinions also.... Its so overcomplicated + slooooow

I just checked sales on CCBill a minute ago and I don't know what you are talking about.

Is it coz I was using Mozilla?

jscott 2003-12-13 03:53 PM

hate it now, too slow, but it should get faster from what i hear

i think we'll all like it in the future

You have to click the upgrade link. I'm using Mozilla so it has nothing to do with what browser you use.

I'm not sure what was up with the Java thing, but probably they have it set to sniff some version on Windoze Java and didn't recognize my *nix Java. I didn't try it in any other browsers.

Thanks Cleo, but I don't see it. :)

Maybe I'm not seeing the same pages as you? http://affiliates.ccbill.com/ ???

Cleo 2003-12-14 09:40 AM

This is strange…

I went to one of my accounts that I did not upgrade and I do not see any upgrade link at all, just a message welcoming me to the new system, but it is the old system.

I only upgraded one of my accounts so as to test drive it. Actually my CCBill stuff is a mess, I've got like 100 different accounts, lol.

So maybe they are just offering the new stats on some account or maybe it was just that one day, I don't know, but I do not see the link now.

I want to know who is telling CCBill that this is what webmasters want?? |angry|

Another CCBill master stroke.. IT SUCKS!

I added an affiliate to the account that I've upgraded to the new CCBill admin.
|banghead| |banghead| |banghead| |banghead| |banghead| |banghead| |banghead| |banghead|

To say that I got aggravated while trying to get my link code for the new affiliate does not even begin describe how I felt. |angry|

Probably didn't help that I was half awake sucking down coffee.

I'm using the non Java version since it says that I don't have Java, I have the latest release from Sun, not sure if the Java version is better or even worse.

I don't want flashy graphics in my admin, no Java, no Javascript, no sounds, no dhtml, no Flash, no waiting for fucking menus to draw and load.

I just want a nice ugly text interface with easy to find text menus. Black text, colored text links, white background, easy to navigate, loads really fast.

Save your high tech design work for your corporate website.

Still no quick and easy way to view webmaster referral revenue either. That's something I was hoping for, after sending them an email to that effect back when they were taking suggestions.

|sad|

Maybe in the next version.

ShermsShack 2003-12-15 05:27 AM

The older version had everything I needed. Everything in 1 place, and it loaded fast. They made this way too in-depth for my taste, and it takes too long to find the information I really need.

Is there a way to get the old interface back?! |pcsucks|

tropica 2003-12-15 05:58 AM

Is it just us or have the rest of you only got 6 day stats? When we check our stats there is only 6 days displayed. Or has something happened to the 7th day and no one has told us? It is just far too complicated |angry|

I can't check from the machine I'm on right now... but I have always lacked a "minimum payout" feature. With a cost of $12 to cash a check I really hate getting a $25 dollar check |pissed|

So is there a minimum payout now?

Send them an email and request that they change it for you.
Not sure if you can send a direct email to accounting, but here's their email address: accounting@ccbill.com

JanTM 2003-12-16 05:31 PM

Hmmm... I seem to remember that I did email them once and that they replied that it was impossible to set an individual minimum payout. But I will admit that it was quite some time ago. I'll try to mail them again...
