Juggs new house.

Well last week the wife and i found a house. We are finnally under contract. I hate house hunting, such a pain in the ass. I can't believe some of the houses people put on the market. I went to one where there was so much crap in the house it would have taken the owners 2 weeks just to empty it and me 5 months to pull the smoke off the walls. Anyway we found this one and as soon as I saw it I wanted it. Very little work to be done, change the kitchen counter top and finish the basement. Other then that ready to move in. We are keeping the condo, I figure so much white trash as moved into the neighborhood I might as well help contribute to it's demise and rent out the place for a few years. Anyway I wish there were more pics of the house. I have some I'll upload later.

Thanks. I'm not looking forward to the nightmare of packing and moving let alone swinging a hammer to finish the basement. But out of all the houses we looked at this one was move in condition. And I loved that I don't have a lawn so I dont need to mow it. Funny thing, when you look at the backyard pic the owners made a stink in the review that I understand I am not getting the iron bench or some statue they have back there. I was like OH NO! THEY ARE TAKING THE STATUE!! Ok then I dont want the house lol. Oh and I have to go on the roof and remove that antenna. God I remember when you needed one of those bad boys to get the great 3 channels of tv. Man you have to love old people.

UW is going to be upset. Jugg is posting pictures that don't have his wife in them!

Congrats Jugg and may your neighbors be very quiet hermits.

The funny thing is, and I'm not kidding here - when I saw the thread title I was going to respond with a nice little "I don't care what your house looks like, I'd bang your wife anywhere". :D

Congrats Jugg, looks like a good deal though I wouldn't be surprised if you added a second bath down the road ;)

Tom's River is a nice area too, I used to date a girl from there.

Congrats, How's the housing market in NJ, still at higher prices?

Really nice!! love the back yard.. at least you have one.. *rolling eyes*.. Tom's River is a good location.. big enough to have stuff but not so overwhelming. We actually looked at a few places there and in Oceangate and Beachwood before buying in Rumson. Goddess knows i wish i'd kept my house in Rumson.. but we sold it to buy this joint here in Vegas.. Hiney site..dammit.

Soooo are you going to have mobile cams so your wifey can cam through the whole house??? Do your new neighbors know a pornographer *GASP* is moving in??? :D

Seriously the place looks great.. love the back yard. wiat i said that already..dammit.. old age again!!

They seem to be leveling out. Over the past month and a half that we have been looking, it was really driving me crazy and caused some arguements with me and the wife. I will never ever buy a house full price. I was just rasied that way. I was making offers on houses at 10% their asking price and was being turned away. I was getting so pissed that people were holding out for full asking price, not to mention most of the houses needed at least 40,000 worth of work. My wife and the realtor were on me about making better offers. A few weeks back I hit the roof while we were out. I felt the agent was steering me away from a sale with really no valid reason. I looked over the agent and just yelled in her face "PUT THE FUCKING BID IN WHERE I TOLD YOU!" She got the idea. Anyway this house had old people in it, and I guess they felt the same way as me or at least expected some money games. I left the property, put in the bid and got a call 1 hour later they were shutting down the open house.

God Doc. Rumson, man. I grew up in middeltown and stompped around sea bright my whole life. You are nuts for selling. My friend owns a house in Fair Haven, just off the border that he got for 300k about 5 years ago. The darn place is up to 900 now. For those of you who don't know, Rumson is very very old money. Some new comming in now. You would be hard pressed to find a house in that town for under 1.5 and it will most likly be a shack. I'm happy with TR, lord knows i can't move to middletown like I wish. I can afford the house but refuse to pay 12k a year in taxes. Funny TR is 30 mins down the parkway and the dam taxes are 2800 lol. The only thing that can go wrong now, is my water test I have insisted on. About 10 or 15 years ago some company was dumping chems in from the oyster nuke plant about 10 miles down the road. Everyone says the water is ok, and only affected the well systems not public water. But I still want that stuff tested, I can see it now. I have a kid in 10 years and he is born with a webcam for an eyeball. lol

10% of the asking price, your agent must have loved you! When I bought 2 years ago people were getting above their asking price for a home in great condition, now the market has levelled out quite a bit.
