You'll never go back.
Last week my cable was down when I woke up. I connected to my dial-up (back up) and it took over 45 minutes just to get my mail from over night. What a nightmare. I updated my sites and got offline. I'd rather be offline then thry to use a dialup again.

Thanks guys. So far it seems great.

Once the novelty wears of I should be able to get back to work.

I am hopping that I will be able to get motivated again now.

Everything was getting to be such a drag on that dialup.

Cleo 2003-12-15 03:57 PM

Dialup sucks :(

My first modem was a 2800. Went through all the newer ones finally up to 56k.

Then I had ISDN.

Then ADSL.

Now I go around town looking for WiFi hotspots, lol.

Funny thing is I think I'm switching my home to cable just because it is so much less then what I'm paying for ADSL from Bellsucks.com

Feel the feedom... and never look back:)

Dial up sucks...

We have DSl and Cable... and if they don't work... we don't work.. fuck dial up!

You are lucky to get cable. Being way out in the woods I had to go with direcway and love it.

Good to see you on the board. Being asking about you. Hit me up some time.

Once the novelty wears offf, see if you can get business class :) Mine finally cranked me up to 7.3 Megabits/second :) after a lot of bitching about speed.

Cleo 2003-12-15 09:19 PM

7.3 Megabits/second ???

Damn I would be throwing a web server on that connection.

Yeah Chop. I pretty much live in the middle of nowhere myself. I have been bugging everyone trying to get something set up around here. Now this was the first thing to make it so I jumped on as soon as I could.|jester|

It was nearly 1.5 year ago we got ADSL. Used to have ISDN. We were probably the first ones that ordered ADSL in our town. It's real heaven when you don't need to think how much money you have spent today for surfing. You can be online all day if you want.

That may change. Our ISP has warned that they may start to bill via bandwith used in the future. It seems there is lot of people who download everything every day like madmen...

Congratulations.. it is like an early christmas present, isn't it?
