Somebody Copied My Gallery
 

Hi Guys,

just found someone copied my gallery -

he didn't bother to remove the bottom of the gallery with my name in it, and that page came up in Google under 'sexvillys' for me.

same affiliate codes in the links, so he's not trying to make a buck out of it, what might be the purpose of such move than?

I have seen a few like this. Either they are redirecting the SE traffic (or geo traffic), or they are planning to pull the page once there is some traffic to it.

Unfortunately this happens a lot. My galleries get ripped constantly. Funniest person ripping a gallery of mine actually turned around and submitted it to my tgp :D

There's also really not much you can do about it as by the time people look at it the gallery will be redirecting, sometimes to aff, sometimes to a fake tgp, sometimes even to illegal sites.

I have only been submitting free sites for about a month now, and already I have seen a few copies of sites my hubby build. |huh

Yep, had an idiot steal one of my sites a while back, then submit it to my link list...stupid fucker |angry|

Sexvilly, just wanted to put a little update on this one... while I cannot confirm the source, the person running this gallery theiving operation lost about $5k as a result of borrowing your gallery and some other stuff that it implied. So not all criminals get rewarded :)

If you're lucky and the host or datacenter is in a Western country, you can pull them offline relatively easily. I had that happen to me a couple of years ago with one of my largest mainstream sites. We traced the host (in Europe) and the datacenter (in the US), sent the legal mumbo jumbo sort of email (had some good advice on that one). The site went offline within 24 hours.

this has happened to me too someone copied the gallery and removed my affiliate ids inserted theirs and hotlinked the vids and images what a pisser.But not much you can do I guess.

You should report it to the sponsors, the hosting company, the content suppliers, LLs. TGPs, etc.

And also you shouldn't go posting the URLs on the boards until after they have been fried. Don't be tipping them off with referring stats from some board post.
