In Canada, the celebration of Victoria Day occurs every year on Monday, prior to May 25th. It is the official celebration in Canada of the birthdays of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II. Victoria Day was established as a holiday in Canada West (Now Ontario) in 1845, and became a national holiday in 1901. Before Victoria Day became a national Holiday, people had celebrated Empire Day , beginning in the 1890s as Victoria approached her Diamond jubilee in 1897.
Victoria, queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and empress of India was born on 24 May 1819. She ascended the throne after the death of her uncle George IV in 1837 when she was only 18. She ruled until her death in 1901 when her son Edward the VII became king of England.

I'll be celebrating Victoria Day by watching hockey tonight :D Sabres/Hurricanes Game 2 is on at 7:30 (OLN & INHD) & I'm having a couple friends over as usual (The Bitch is going to Bingo in Canada as part of her celebration)

Other than that, I'm hating this diet & I'm almost all caught up on my TV watching |thumb

I think yesterday was the first time I haven't posted during the entire day. My daughter has been going through some serious problems with her mother and her mother's side of her family. I have been there helping her and probably will be for a few more days.

I will let you guys know everything when it is done.

morning:) monday already........ time goes to fast, within 3 days i am stuck with my kids and hubby again, they will have a 4 day holiday, i think they have to much holidays in holland...lazy bums.Other then that i am since 6 this morning on the net, i worked my butt off,so time for some fun for the rest of the day. This is the start of a very short week at the office, only 3 days instead of the usual 5. So more time to get my blog up and running :)

Going to see how a couple of Greeks play some cover songs this evening in the next town. Should be fun.

Payroll comes today so i get to go deliver checks WOOT WOOT..i love that part of my job. Then i get to face all the peeps from the International Council of Shopping Centers. should be a fun week. I wonder if my suit smells like moth balls?

Another work day. Still haven't decided if I'm riding my bike or driving. I guess I'll see how the weather is by the time I need to leave, since we suppose to get some much needed rain.

Hopefully the fine gasoline delivery people will return my call this morning. Both of the other fleet fueling companies said that this guy would do it no problem. I hadn't thought of a boat fuel delivery company to deliver fuel, but, hey, whatever works.

Other than that, finishing up the telephone interviews, hopefully will have someone hired by the end of the week.

About to wrap up my work morning, so I can take a break and head over to the school. They are having Track & Field day today, and I need to go watch the munchkin compete. After that, I'll make a quick trip through the grocery store, then back home for a bit of work. Later today, I'm going to try to get the garden ready to plant. It's finally about dry enough to work the soil.

AHh, another fine day... well, at least it isn't raining, but it is all of 8C outside... and damp and cold and not nice... encourages me no end to stay home and work :)

Other than that I have about a million things to do, so I better get started :)

well it's 1230pm and still not a drop.. tho it is a nice balmy 78 degrees..

Well it is 1:42 in Pahrump, still no drops and a windy 68....you should move to the country, we are cooler here. :D Weatherbug said 70% chance of rain, where is all this rain? Must be dumping it all on the mountains and not on my garden, lol.
