Do you need to cancel your Vegas trip

Due to circumstance beyond my control I will not be taking my motor coach into Vegas. I'm looking for someone who has to cancel the suite at the Venetian. I'll take it. Or if you know someone who needs to cancel.

Or if you have a two room suite alone and would like to split expenses.

OR if you would like to adopt me |santa|

Greenguy 2003-12-17 08:18 AM

Surfn - that sucks :( What happened?

Did you try calling Rose Travel & seeing if they had any rooms left at the Venetian or Harrah's (next door)?
Rose - 888-491-7673 & ask for the Internext or AEE Room Block

Treasure Island is across the street, as is the Mirage - so those are options as well.

Surfn 2003-12-17 08:29 AM

They have nothing GG. When I had my reservation canceled (2 days ago) it was already too late. I can still be in Vegas, but it means a 2 hour drive each way from my motor coach.

Adoption ehhhh?
You can be the son I never got a chance to push around.
Sweet.

In all seriousness, that sucks. I can't imagine that all the other hotels around there are all booked up. I'd call a few that are close.

I have, no deal. All the hotels told me there will be no last minute vacancies because they all overbooked. Which really sucks |pissed| Oh well I like to drive the Jeep so I'll travel the desert back and forth |santa|

Harrahs had an interesting disclaimer on the reservation effective the 1st of January they will NOT allow anyone under 21 to stay in that hotel.

Greenguy 2003-12-17 09:50 AM

That the way it should be at most of the hotels in Vegas - Vegas is not for kids - there's nothing sadder then seeing kids sitting in the hallway while their parents gamble or drink at the bar.

Surfn 2003-12-17 09:59 AM

I agree with you 100% on that GG!

I also think as we (babyboomers) get older we don't like all the commotion kids cause as well, which is why I booked into a motorhome park originally. |santa|

MrMaryLou 2003-12-17 10:38 AM

Really?

Why is that? is it just for the week of Internext/AVN or from now on, no minors?

I thought LV wanted families to come and bring their life savings.

Torn Rose 2003-12-17 04:53 PM

Totally agree, Kids do not belong in Vegas. But still surprises me that they would enforce that.

Same with "Old" Key West, no reason in the world a kid needs to go there, but every time we go, we see kids with parents while the parents look around in total shock and disbelief with what they see and hear.

Greenguy 2003-12-17 05:55 PM

Hell, we had the entire hotel down in Miami & there were kids walking around all over the place - how fucking stupid is that? |banghead|

MrMaryLou 2003-12-17 06:23 PM

Sin City and Kids not a good idea for sure :(

It suprises me that someone takes the time to read the fineprint.

It looked to be a new permanent policy. At least until the next permanent policy. |santa|

I agree with you there. I remember walking out to the bikini contest in FL and there were people that brought their 5 year olds. Call me a prude but I don't think it's a proper environment for kids to be in when there are 1000 people getting drunk, chicks getting naked, random sex acts going on, etc. Sometimes I wonder if people have any brains at all.
