Do affi. Cheat

There has been alot of talk about conversation. Do you think the company cheat us out of sales? Just wondering what peoples take on that is?

Greenguy 2006-06-12 07:46 PM

I think that they only cheat webmasters that use improper grammar.

Tommy 2006-06-12 07:49 PM

I have caught several sponosrs cheating ESPECIALLY during the 1997-1999 years. But honestly its hard to get too mad because they get scammed by all the russian and other scamming asses. But on the other other hand I have reported scammers to certain sponsors and they don't do anything about it. To the credit of a few I have seen some take action against the bad apples .. and ARS has been one to terminate accounts when neccessary. But the industry needs to start working toward a global system to keep up with the cheaters and a way to make stat keeping more transparent.

ARS knows that I mouth off alot and don't pull any punches but I think they deserve some props for terminating accounts even if they were making bank off of an individual account who was scamming, frauding, spamming, or whatever. |thumb

Back to what I think is the original topic, which is affiliate programs (not affiliates themselves) that may or may not shave and the talk about conversions (as opposed to talk about conversations) I have one thought:

I doubt any programs that use & pay via CCBill cheat :D

Except for the rare occasions when shifty program owners decide to tinker with the rebill settings and alter the "Payments for Rebills End After: Unlimited" bit to 0.

Greenguy 2006-06-13 10:59 AM

Oh yeah, I agree, some are shifty with that & others are just too stupid to set it up properly...but at least you can look to see if you're getting fucked right in the admin :D

PR_Tom 2006-06-13 02:44 PM

Yep, just terminated another one today.. Oh wait :D

Cleo 2006-06-13 02:51 PM

I've cheated on most of the people that I've dated.

cockhungryhoes 2006-06-13 04:59 PM

sorry about the grammer. Well ok I have been promoting topbucks, twistys, and bangbros. Bangbros sorry to say seems shady has anyone else experinced that.

Why is CC Bill so fair I have stayed away thinking there more independent and so more inclined to scam is it the other way around?

cockhungryhoes 2006-06-13 05:12 PM

Ok so I read CC bill is a third party billing co. I didnt understand that before. Well I am a newbie can you tell lol. So I guess my question is how do you know that CC Bill is getting everything on the up and up.

I am tring to figure all these stats out. Its a little hard and I know others are going through it too.

this is true, I can say for certain being that i only really sell one niche 'creampie' and mostly use ccbill sponsors that there is a MAJOR difference in conversion ratios between a ccbill sponsor and a big program, even the ones using GASP! NATS ! lol I know there are other factors to consider i.e. a bigger program can be more exposed and also their tours ussually suck for creampie traffic, as they are too photoshoped and flashy not amateur enough, even if the content is. But when the numbers are 1:100 or better off of any traffic going to ccbill on average and go way over 1:500-1:1000 or worse at a major program something is fucked.... I really notice the difference on a hun listing, since it is stricly same variables except for a few and a hun listing can generate 20-30 sign-ups for a ccbill sponsors and never more than 1 or 2 to a big program even with same CTR going to gallery and sponor.

pvtspanky 2006-06-14 12:06 AM

Can we please stay on topic and talk about conversation?! It's not always about you guys all the time!!! :)

Jel 2006-06-14 02:02 AM

BangBros count 2nd page hits, so your numbers will be off compared to ccbill. I use them and going by my other sponsors on the same traffic see nothing that worries me in the slightest. In fact just the opposite :)

Let me make this very clear - I like BangBros, so this is not a shot at them, but if you think aobut it, since they count 2nd page hits, his ratio's would (in theory) be better than one that counts 1st page hits (unless he is talking about hits & not sales, as he stated above)

:D

Jel 2006-06-14 06:43 AM

Yeah agreed, I assumed the statement about them being shady was due to the low amount of hits being shown vs the amount shown elsewhere |thumb

Nothing against these sponsors, but a lot of people promote them, I mean a lot of people, and you're conversion ratio will directly be effected by the competition.

It's like having a hotdog stand in front of a Nathan's restaurant...it's not shocking when no one buys your hotdogs. Try smaller sponsors, ones that use ccbill, and see if your results improve.
