Pornography Jurisdiction Limitation Act

Oh, this should be an interesting end run attempt! |catfight|

Rep. Chris Cannon (R-Ut., not the porn star) has introduced House Resolution (H.R.) 5528, the Pornography Jurisdiction Limitation Act of 2006, which is intended to put an end to those lousy pornographers who try to invoke the U.S. Constitution in their defense.

I always love these "sky is falling" stories. They always make me feel so tingly inside! |bananna|

They're getting quite creative, aren't they? Too bad they're just not thinking clearly. |crazy|

So True, So Sad |cry|

But maybe, just maybe, we will only get the occasional knucklehead instead of the 24/7 model we seem to have lately.

And just which group are you speaking to when you say "you guys"?

Meaning I didn't vote in the current crop and I will probably be under the ground next election day.

Greenguy 2006-06-16 06:22 AM

And by "you guys" you're saying that the rest of the posters on the board did?

If you don't vote, then you have no right to complain about who's in office.

I do and I did vote. Just not republican. Sorry I can't make this any clearer.

I find it very interesting that hardly anyone admits to voting for the current regime but someone did. People who know me know I came out against the current regime in primaries.

Tommy 2006-06-16 09:27 AM

the religious rednecks voted for the idiot

I dont beleive Bush is a religious man
I think its all a con

at times I find it hard to beleive that people are so stupid
but then you see the comericials late night for thigh masters and enzyte and you know its true

if you see videos of him before he entered politics
this guy partyed a lot and he looked like he had a really GOOD time

when you see the videos he doesnt look like the type of guy that would be against abortion

he looked like the type of guy that might have paid for a few abortions :-)

Hitler knew very well that hate is a very motivating force and he used it to control the population and it seems that the followers of Jesus have a lot of hate these days.

I talk with a lot of church goers on a regular basis and it seems that hate is the one thing that they really have in common.

I'm not so sure that November will make a difference. We're dealing with some amazingly stupid people and when you put the facts in front them they simply shout and get angry.

Tommy 2006-06-16 11:16 AM

yesterday I was watching Bill o reilly and he had on this anti porn activast

she was blaming porn for the lack of morals in todays youth
and when talking about people who watch porn she said

and these people are ALLOWED to raise children

like people that watch porn shouldnt be allowed to have children

Trev 2006-06-16 03:02 PM

Earlier this year, I saw a web girl (with her own site) say that "I am a republican, because I have morals" WTF?

I think Gandhi put it something like this once, "I like this Jesus person, but I don't like his followers. They don't don't seem to act much like him."

This was a great program on the choices in 2004.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontl...oice2004/view/

It details how dubya learned how to make use of the religious right (clip 4) from a real master who also taught his father. It was the best program on the two men (bush/kerry) that I saw. From young men to candidates.

PR_Tom 2006-06-16 04:56 PM

Really you should check out that whole documentary. Like clip 5 at about 7 minutes in. Karl Rove gets Bush to BS the texas voters by placing flyers in church parking lots about gays. Sound familiar?

Wow, that sucks. I don't know of a singal person who has never once in their lives watched and enjoyed porn. So by that logic, no one should be raising children. I mean, it's not like people are making their children watch the porn...they are adults, they can do what they wish with their free time; as long as the kids aren't exposed to it. Which I'm sure in most cases, they aren't.
Sounds like she's got a few insecurity issues that she really needs to work on. In my experience, even just talking to people, I find the ones that are completely against porn are one of two things. A) Extremely insecure with their bodies, lives and or sexuality. and B) Religious freaks who have no reason to truely hate porn besides the fact that they really want to control people and just can't.

I think there is a third type and they're the most dangerous. They are the ones that are tempted by it the most and basically have a hard time controlling themselves.

There was one that appeared before congress and said that many of his friends that travel limit their time alone in hotel rooms so they're not tempted by porn. I spent years in hotels and I was never tempted by porn and frankly never turned on the TV in a hotel.

These are the really sick ones that have no self control. They're the ones that you don't want around your children, your home, a bank or any where in society because they might be tempted to do something they don't want to do. They're also the ones that need to believe in hell because if they didn't they'd be fucking goats and robbing banks.

Oh, those are fighting words :)
You know the majority of this board is anti-republican. Those fucking cocksuckers made their play yesterday with the stupid "I support the troops and there should not be an early pull out" resolution. Make sure your local member of congress didn't bend to the pressure. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2006/roll288.xml

The new No Knock Law they passed has moved us even more off center toward Nazi Germany...

A few choice quotes for 642am:

Quote:

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country
--Hermann Goring

Quote:

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.
--Joseph Goebbels

Quote:

Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.
--Joseph Goebbels

I'm not really anti-republican. I am anti-Bush and always have been. You don't elect a former CIA director as President because that's not the type of person that likes the Constitution, Democracy or Freedom. All of our laws to protect freedom are designed to protect us from this type of President. He and his cronies do not like freedom or the Constitution or Democracy for that matter. How many times have his buds said "We'll do what's best for the party?" or "We're a team." They never talk about doing what's best for the people any more.

I know Dubya wasn't a Washington insider but his daddy was and that's who has made this man what he is.

I'm not really anti-republican but some of the people that hate democracy the most just seem to be republicans lately.

I voted for him. I admit it and I have no shame in it. I am not a fan of Clinton, never was. Not that Bush was running against him but shit his totum pole flunky was running. The guy cheats on his wife 3 times that we know of lies to the public about it and then turns blow jobs into a non-sexual act. Part of his life style is whats causing us problems. 8 years of being a perv freaked out the religous nuts who now have come out in full force against anything sexual. Why did I vote for Bush? Simple my military job. I got tired of sitting on chairs that had wires sticking out of the seat and poked holes in my legs because the last president felt we did not need any money at all. So no money for new chairs or anything. Plus I got more rasies when Bush got in office.
I vote and always will. It's the only thing that gives me a voice. Sure you can go and march on washington but that rarly does any good now. Hell everyday you go there someone is marching for something. The main problem we have is simple. NO ONE IN CONGRESS READS THE LAWS THEY ARE PASSING. There should be a law against that. If you are in congress you can not pass a law until proof is shown you have read and understood the law. Sure less laws would be passed but the ones that make it would prob be common sense ones.
