There are a lot of good hosts out there...and a lot of half asses hosts unfortunately.

Having experienced cheap hosting first hand, I'd suggest to steer clear of trying to get hosting for the absolute cheapest price possible. Hosting is far too important in this business to cheap out on it...imo of course.

Having said that...

Sparky aka cd34 runs Colo-cation which is where this board is hosted. He's also a valuable community member here and hosts many of the board members sites |thumb

Personally, I've gotten totally spoiled by ISPrime. They're not cheap, but I know my main sites are with one of the best in the biz. And when I need something, their support is first class |thumb

I've also got a server with Web1Host. Dave over there is an absolute pleasure to work with and his prices are pretty darned reasonable too :)

Those are my most recent experiences with hosts. Some of the other top dogs that come to mind...

Colo-cation for me. Excellent & reliable service and first class support.
MrYum already mentioned them but I wanted to stamp my own tiny seal of approval upon them.

I recently moved most of my stuff to colo-cation and couldn't be more pleased. So another thumbs up for them :)

Nationalnet is ok as long as you don't mind getting a piece of shit server for way too much money. Their service is great but your fingers get tired from typing problem tickets so often.

Phatservers are fine as long as you don't have a hard drive crash and be told, everything is lost and I can't get to it because I am on my way to a wedding. It really wasn't their fault but a little help would have been much appreciated.

Candid Hosting pulled our fat out of the fire but then decided that they needed the server we were using so deleted the contents and used it for another client. I do appreciate their help but...someone dropped the ball.

One of our sponsors, ManagedFiber looks great. I have not used them but have only heard good things.

And then comes colo-cation.com. Greenguy and Jim is hosted there and Sparky (cd34) takes good care of not only us but just about anyone that has a problem. No matter where that person is hosted. He has software running 24/7 looking at all the servers for problems that may arise. He takes care of it before it happens. I really can't remember the last time we went down since we moved. And, his prices are very reasonable.

Hey thanks for all the reply's very much apresheated, :) I've decided to go with colo-cation and I must say they're not bad at all usually DNS takes 24-48 hours to change over and mines was done within a few min which made me very surprised .. so far so good heh
