Let's see...it's currently 28 deg but with the wind chill it's 16. The forcast calls for snow & a lot wind for most of the day.

It's the 1st official day of winter, so what should I do today?

I know! I'll go outside & drink for 5 hours & then go & sit in the cold & watch a meaningless football game! :D

Yep...A fine Sunday Morning to all as well. I will be doing Christmas type stuff today.

I have a feeling it's going to be a long day.

Damn electric heat gave my a headache and is messing with my sinuses. It is only 48˚F out which is about as cold as it ever gets here. I will have to find indoor things to keep me amused here.


Surfn T-mobile has idiots for tech support and told me that their service didn't work with Macs. I have both their WiFi and GPSM service working just fine with my Powerbook, but I found the answers to setting everything up using Google not their lame tech support. The GPSM service is very nice for when you are out of range of a Hotspot and I get 128K internet using it.

WTF are you people doing awake are working on a Sunday morning? Are you getting an early start or finishing a late night?

It doesn't look like any wind damage will occur today in Virginia. The roofers finally came yesterday to fix the hurricane damage and hoefully they did it right this time.

Fucking Unbelievable… The city that I live in has raised property taxes so much that people in my neighborhood are being forced to sell their homes and move away because they can't afford to pay their taxes and now the city wants to raise them even more.

Maybe they shouldn't have chased out all the strip clubs and other businesses that they felt weren't family oriented. I live in the sin city by the sea that is fast becoming the city of empty buildings where there was once busy businesses of adult entertainment.

Fort Lauderdale is broke.

I say it is time to tax the hell out of all the bible thumpers, especially since I had to borrow money this year to pay my property taxes. |angry|

I love winter Solstice.. It is the celebration rebirth of the Sun, which is the promise of spring and life even on this the darkest day. Therefore some consider this the new year. The burning of the log is to give the Sun strength. Mumming (plays) such as "St. George" is a Pagan survival , it represents the rebirth of the God. Wassailing is also a Pagan custom. The Roman festival of the Solstice was Saturnalia, which lasted from December 17th to the 24th

Being Native, we use this time to appreciate what mother earth provides all year long, food, shelter etc.
