Good Sunday Morning
Morning
We had another flood yesterday. This time, we were told to evacuate. With our dogs, cats, birds and fish, we decided to stay. I would have thought for sure that enough time passed by for the ground to no longer be saturated...but nope :) A good hard rain storm and the flood came right back. Anyway, I would have felt like a fool if I did evacuate since again, nothing happened at our house. Nothing much going on today except getting ready for next week marriage happening here. We finally found someone besides me to marry our daughter. We are having a pagan wedding :) |
Good Morning Everyone!
Glad to you hear you didnt get flooded out Jim... and congrats on the wedding, best wishes to all. Have a great day! |
Good morning world |waves|
Nice bright and sunny day so far. Lots of things to get done today, including a lot of relaxing later. Floods again, Jim? With all the World War III stuff on the news I didn't even hear about that happening up there. Quote:

Here is the local story about our flood. The damn they show is privately owned and the town says it's not their problem and the owner lives in Vermont. So, nobody is fixing it but...if it goes, over 150 million gallons of water will come into the village at one shot. I have been thinking of running for mayor the past few years....watch the video and look what we have now. :)
http://www.wktv.com/news/local/3405096.html And, the wedding was such short notice, we couldn't fine someone to do the wedding. I can do it...the whole Universilist Church Minister thing but damn, I really didn't want to. |

Good pleasent sweaty morning for me, all things considered. Between the excitement of nearly finishing my most recent pet project, and hellish heat, I haven't slept much. But I'm actually making money, so I can't be in a bad mood. |loony

Blue skies here this morning.
|sun Not that means it will not rain today. Yesterday started off beach weather, so I went to the beach and got a bit sunburned, and by afternoon it was raining so hard it was difficult to see while driving. Spent the rest of yesterday looking at contemporary furniture with my neighbor. Found a few places with really nice stuff and not too bad of prices. Probably not going to get anything until later this year but planning on replacing pretty much everything in that middle part of my house that I walk through to get from my bedroom to my office that I never use. Doing the gym once I'm somewhat awake and then it depends on if it is still nice out or not for what I'm doing for the rest of the day. |
Good Morning All :) Damn Jim stay dry
|
|waves| morning from Sin-City..
Not much going on today except barely selling bears... :-) I did start my list for my trip east.. i do think that besides all the electronic equipment i have to bring.. spud and i will be able to fit all our clothing into 1 bag.. since for 8 out of the 12 days we'll be gone..we can wear the same thing...:-) Quote:
|thumb hopefully its so hot out, everyone stays home and buys porn... |
Wow, okay, I'm definitely not moving to Mohawk. I don't like it when the waters start rising anymore. After Wilma came through here last year I became a bit water-height sensitive. ;)
On the West-by-God Virginny thing, I meant that it sounded like you were almost going to have to "marry your daughter" -- not perform the ceremony, but actually get 'hitched' to her. I knew what you meant though. Actually I'm a ULC minister too. And to answer the Hippy's question :) ... I was ordained in March of 2004, many years after I got into porning. So...anyone wanting full absolution from all sin from preconception to the present date, or plenary indulgence for forgiveness of the punishments for sin in this life, just ask and I'll give you a link to wash them all away today. :D |

Simon, Did I ever mention that I'm a self-ordained tantric priest? Maybe we can exchange services... I can train people in pleasurable indulgance, and you can absolve them of the sinful guilt! |loony
Mornin all |waves|
Keep your head above water Jim |thumb Wow...lots of ministers on the board...whoda thunk it :D Simon, agreed...I thought of the West Virginny thing on Jim's first post too...lol Have a great day everyone! |
in this day and age, it amazes me at the lack of thought city planners and engineers put into road construction. Hey guys, Florida has a rainy season, we have irrigation canals next to most of the major highways, why not allow runoff to go somewhere rather than crowning road surfaces the wrong way so that during a heavy rain, which does happen in Florida, 2 lanes of major roads aren't closed.
We have an intersection that they just regraded in January to get rid of a 'standing water' problem where they dug a deeper swale so that it would hold more water. Yes, it delays the standing water problem at that intersection for about 15 minutes. Bravo, thanks for the $127k hit on our city taxes to pay people and not fix the problem. :) Other than that, a deluge of work on my desk, so, I'm back to it. |
Well, so far today, some new cunt here "maxelll3752", has accused me of stealing content
in this thread. I am less than amused. Herculinks thinks he has a slander case? Ha! I've got a slander case. |angry| Oh yeah, happy fucking morning to you and all that flowery shit. |
Good Sunday Everyone |buddy|
I was hoping to rip thru the board this morning so that I could go watch people play golf on dead grass, but I guess I have to go & correct the board member that thinks females act strange when they are on the rag. |

Our water problem is really nothing that new. I remember as a kid being at the bridge just up the road from me where the ice would jam and start flooding everything. They used dynamite back then and for a kid, it was cool. They then hired an engineer who decided we needed to dig the ice jam area deeper and it seemed to work. But, never has this happened during anytime other than winter and early spring.
It's almost like, the oceans are getting warmer and making the air hold more water until it finally rains harder than it ever has. I wish someone would come up with a name for this phenomenon of the oceans getting warmer :) |

Ack! |shocking|
I'm late for the good morning thread! Good afternoon everyone; have a great day! |bananna
