Men: Sleeping with a partner makes you stupid

A University of Vienna study, published today in New Scientist, showed that men suffer temporary mental setbacks if they share their bed because their sleep is always disturbed whether they make love to their partners or not.

This is article is beautiful.

1. It says that men are smarter after having sex.
2. It says men are smarter if there's no cuddling after sex that sex :)

"If they have shared their bed with their partner for a long time they miss them and that will disturb sleep"

So if you're already cuddle bunnies, no worries! |bananna|

Well too bad cause I can't sleep alone! I'm a big whimp and being in my big bed alone at night, I'd be scared! Nothing like cuddling with my big teddy bear of a husband. I've always told him if he dies on me I'm going to have him stuffed....:D

I think an anatomically correct, life size mold would be good. Then you could make lots of him with that super soft, sex toy plasticy stuff, with a firm, movable insert of some sort, and sell him on the internet!

Imagine how much $$$ you could make by selling vibrating attachments in custom packages! ;)

Interesting article but is it really true. If that so, it's better not to sleep with your partner. :D

When I was single I used to hate having females stay over after sex. It drove me nuts to think they would wake up in the middle of the night and start snooping around my house. Now that I'm married I found that the one month my wife and I were apart it was very very hard to sleep at night (no pun intended) I was happy to have her back. But I will say I can't stand the jimmy legs. I get kicked all night and have a hard time getting a full nights rest. Then there is the dog, she has allowed him to sleep on the bed and he is also a jimmy leg fuck. I swear after I'm done with the new house, it's kind size all the way.

LMAO!!! I never put that much thought into it! I just want him stuffed so I can have him in bed at night and sit at the dinner table with me. Of course I have thought about the special parts though, that would be at attention all the time...|headbang|

Juggernaut I have jumpy legs too, not every night but quite often. It drives my husband in sane also. We have worked it out though, if they start jumping to bad he just put his leg on mine and it helps. And that way we can both get some sleep |thumb

God Sue I wish I could do that. I'm one of these guys who's body is very senisitive to temperature, if the wife just puts her arm around me at night I feel like I go up 20 degree and start freaking out. It's been a problem for us as sometimes she thinks I just don't want her touching me. But I just can't help it. I try to lay there and be a good husband but I start sweating and then stair at the walls and after the first drop of sweat role down my face I jump up and shower. She thinks I'm nuts but what else can I do. Just don't touch me in bed unless it's for sex lol.

It's really different when you're married especially if you really love you're wife compared to you when you are single and fooling around with different girls. :) I think you need to get a big house.

I feel sorry for anyone who I might cohabitate with for an extended period of time. (what a careful phrasing, eh?) ;)

I'm prone to periods of jumping out of bed in a panic state and dripping sweat, for multiple nights in a row. Once a close friend of mine... um... babysat me? She said it was "an interesting experience."

I often sleep better when I've got a warm, soft body to press up against. Even if it's hot, I don't mind getting all hot and sticky. :D

Props to you vigohippy you worded the whole thing very nicely :D Jumping out of bed in a panic state?? Yes that is scary! My husband still to this day sleeps with his arms over his head. It comes from him being in Vietnam, and still sometimes when I roll over to cuddle with him he freaks......|shocking|

Jeez all this talk about you sweaty men is getting to me, guess it's time to go sling some porn....|banghead| I don't know about the other women here but sweaty men make me sweat

I hear ya on that one. Especially the healthy types who eat lots of tropical fruits. They smell good when they get all sweaty. |thumb

lorsha 2006-07-27 03:36 PM

I guess my Mark and I are just lucky. |thumb

We always get a good night sleep, and are no bother to one another, hehe. |bananna|

I soooo relate to that. MadHatter is really sensitive to temperature, and he will suddenly shift his leg, trying to find a cool spot, and scare the crap out of me. I am very sensitive to touch and freak out of I get touched in the middle of the night. We are quite a pair sleeping with each other. I've seriously considered twin beds like the old tv shows, lol.

We just finally bought a wall unit AC for our room a few days ago, and close the door and run that in addition to the centeral air, and WHAT a difference! He doesn't get hot and lose sleep, I don't get scared. You might want to try that. It has really helped us. I bet it is 60 degrees in our bedroom, lol.
