Anybody use t-shirts for promo or own a tee site?

I'm meeting people with t-sites that are nothing more than just type on a white background or clip art and are making more money than some porn sites.

Just wondering if t-shirts are a good promo device for ya.

I dunno...

But with Americans defining their personal identity through their consumer practices (logos n shit on their clothes) I imagine t-shirts, hats, etc. probably have just slightly more buyers than porn. :D

Plus, your neighbor probably isn't going to give away a t-shirt for free at his website so he can scam the fuck out of a surfer with some crappy ass trojan.

Or are you asking about promoting your site with a t-shirt?

I once found a guy wearing something like "Adult Friend Finder" on the front and "Swinger" on the back at Disney Land. It was quite a sight. |thumb

Yes, promoting a site with a t-shirt and just in general using tees to generate capital.

I'm finding setting up an online tee site is exactly like setting up a porn site. Difference is no one gives you any shit about setting up a tee site.

I like to use Tshirts as a cum rags. That's not the primary reason why I purchase them, but it's one hell of a secondary selling point. "Impress the chick with your wonderful taste in fashion. Bang her. Use the shirt to wipe away the jizz; thus proving that you are both a fashion scholar and a gentleman." Feel free to use that on your Tshirt site. |thumb I'll never get around to funding mine. |cry|

My opinion? If you're hoping that your members will go out and promote your site... if it's blatant advertising, I would probably say no... especially if visiting your site is something they do in the privacy of their own home. BUT, if you come up with something that someone would wear out just for the sheer entertainment/reactionary benefit... you can advertise the site as an afterthought... I guess my point is, it's all about the hook. Subliminal advertising....

OR, if you attend the trade shows, use the industry to promote your site for you - these are the people that will wear your free shirt... there were some GREAT ones flying around in Florida. |boobies|

Totally agree a t-shirt all depends on the cool factor... I had some at Internext 2 years ago that said American Porn Idol on the back and on the front they said Talent Scout, everybody wanted one.

For Spring Break I was doing some offline promotions for Sex Search on the beach in Key West and we had the T-shirts that said Wanna F&#K? on the front... they also said meet me at sex search dot com on the back but the college students could care less they were a billboard for Sex Search so long as the front of the shirt was cool.

So it definitly depends on your message.

The college students couldnt get enough of our beach promos and the t-shirts

Ill dig up some pics from our spring break site. I probably carried 400 of those things up and down the beach and they would go soo fast.

Everyone wanted a Wanna F&#K T-Shirt

I am thinking of givings surfers some free shirts away, people love free shit... I'm sure there are quite a few Hun shirts out there too

and I think a custom t-shirt site would be a good money maker, you could sell all sorts of funny phrases and have a "build your own t-shirt" for custom phrases... I wear my "kiss me I'm kinky" shirt all the time... and the damn thing works too :D
