Link/Traffic Trading Rant and New Rules
While trading links/traffic for quite some time, I have recently been really looking into what types of changes have been made to the agreed upon link trades and will be removing a considerable amount of links based on a quick sampling this morning.
First - if you agree to a trade between index pages or some sort of round robin trade that includes your index pages - and then later remove those links - guess what - your links are coming down as well. Second - if you change the way youre linking back - like adding two link lists in to the same combined link - youre outta there. Third - if you do cat trades with my LL - I expect the linkback to be from the page Im linking to unless we've made other arrangements - changing the linkback to some buried archive page thats only linked to within your site doesnt cut it!! Fourth - if you trade and expect a link from my index page - dont put my link on some inner page that has no traffic or search engine relevancy - again unless Ive made some other arrangement with you -Ive always been a little too liberal with my index page and its going to stop this weekend Fifth - and most important - if I find that you are trying to spam links/use spam blogs/log spamming etc. you will be completely removed and this will be your only notice - this includes playing little tricks like adding an underscore at the end of my url in your linkback which a few have tried :( |

It's pretty fucked up when you can trust your link trades |angry
I feel for ya linkster, I have done so many link trades over the years, Im afraid to go look and see who has taken my link down lol, my guess is atleast 50% - really sad :( Would take me days just to check up on all of them and delete the ones that dont link back!

Same here! I know I should check but I just don't want to hassle with it. |yawn
So does this mean you'll have some open trade spots?
