Gooey Saturday To You & Yours!

Morning |waves|

Played a little poker last night & I'm up, so I'm happy :)

I have no idea what's going on for tonight - I know the Bills game is being aired (I have no idea if they won last night or not) and I know The Bitch is going to a House Warming party, but now I hear that she's also inviting people over to watch the game, so I'll have to wait until she wakes up to see what's my schedule will be like tonight.

Hell, Jim & The Bitch convinced me to watch the 6 episode marathon of Brotherhood on Showtime tonight, so TiVo will be working OT for me :)

Morning/Afternoon folks.

One of my lady friends is having her Birthday BBQ in 2 hours so I guess that's where I'm going to spend my Saturday. She's got a pool but the weather kinda sucks so no skinny dipping for me today.

Ah well, have a great day all :)

Good morning world |waves|

Trash out on the curb for pickup, cats let out, coffee made, and email and stats reviews done by 7. Nothing out of house planned for today, so I think I'm going to play around with a couple of new things I've been meaning to get to. Then maybe a radio show later?

Brotherhood is pretty good so far (and from what I hear from people in Rhode Island, pretty accurate in a lot of ways too). Interesting revelations as it moves along. I like that I'm still not sure which is the 'good' brother. Okay... no spoilers.

A good start on the weekend to all.

:)

Good Morning All :)

Cleo 2006-08-19 09:27 AM

Wow it's already morning again. :)

Plumber came out yesterday because none of my drains were draining. He put the roto thing down my main drain but was unable to completely clear it and it looks like I have sand getting in the main drain which might mean a pipe has cracked underground. They are coming back on Tuesday to put a video camera down the pipe to see what's up. Just I wanted to spend a bunch of money of this month. |banghead|

Returning to the gym today for the first time since being sick and then I haven't a fucking clue what I'm doing.

sue-fl 2006-08-19 09:47 AM

Morning! Been up since 6am and ready to go back to bed. I know one thing, both of my dogs will be getting fixed after this heat. Have bred dogs before with out any trouble but these two are insane. The lack of sleep is killing me, if my female doesn't get pregant after all this my male is in BIG trouble......|angry|

Have a great day all, see you OTB if I can get up by then :D

My sis is having her birthday party today, first guests started popping in, she is having a barbecue out in the garden.

I'm hiding here at my desk, I am not able to chat with them or even say hi and won't freak the hell out of them with this nose tube. Life's getting lonely... |cry|

Ramster 2006-08-19 10:25 AM

Good Morning.

Did some golfing yesterday and a barbeque last night. Now I need to do some work.

Useless 2006-08-19 10:59 AM

I'm just sitting here making really dumb partner area changes to my beloved WW. Oh, the joy. I'm pretty sure that I have no other agenda today, and if I do, I'm pleading ignorance.

Good afternoon all |waves|

Well, I'll be heading to the airport in a couple hours to go see Momzilla for her birthday. Still packing a few things...just moved a bunch of work stuff onto a memory stick...those things are cool!

Not sure how available I'll be next week...this trip is mostly about spending time with Mom, as according to her doctor...it's pretty likely this will be her last bday :(

We've talked about it...and she's actually okay with it...being a realist helps at times...

Anyway...have a great week everyone. I'll try to check in when possible.

Many sales to all!

Have a great time with her, your mom rocks... reality can help and sometimes can be a bitch, it all depends on the strength of the person, age, pain and a lot more factors.
Your presence will help her a lot so spend this week with her 24/7 |waves|

MrYum i hope that you and your mom have the best time. |thumb

RedCherry 2006-08-19 01:04 PM

Hello All! I'm planning on goofing off all day, then going to a Luau tonight, as I stated in the Birthday thread. I love my birthday, I have an excuse to goof off, lol.

MrYum, sorry to hear about your Mom. I don't know what is better, being able to plan for something like that, or having it happen very suddenly like it did to my Mom. Either way, I know it sucks to lose her. Hope you have a great visit.

Good LUCK Cleo, I just went through that, but fortunately, My dirt in the line was from a recent renovation to my bathroom shower, and the tile guy got some dirt in the lines. Is there any chance something like that happened to you? I know you redid your bathroom lately too, didn't you? I hope it ends up not being to pricey. Our dirt here has a lot of clay in it, so it had stuck itself pretty good to the main drain wall, and gave an area for everything else to get stuck too. Once they got it out, we haven't had any issues.

Does this refer to the sticky and viscous matter that remains after we melt today? 100% humidity overnight |cry| way up here, I don't even want to think about the poor folks living in swamp country are facing.

Yes actually and the thought did go through my mind. I redid all my bathrooms a little over a year ago and I know that my back guest bathroom, no one ever uses it, got a bunch of stuff down the drain both from getting the shower pan replaced and from not having the drain from where the toilet goes properly covered while redoing everything.

It's costing me $500 to have the video camera put down the pipe but tis way I'll know for sure what's up. I've had trouble with this pipe since buying this house and have had to have it cleaned out ever few years or so but it seems like the problem got worse this last year.

RedCherry 2006-08-19 10:16 PM

I hope it ends up something simple. We had issues too since we moved in, and this last time we found we had cleanouts in the back of the house we didn't know we had (the owner had coffee cans over them, buried in the patio slab. We took them off, gee cleanouts) so they ran the snake from the back towards the front and we haven't had any issues since then.

I think the dirt from the bathroom remodel, plus we probably have had a partial clog back by the back cleanout since we moved in. (Guy had a 75' snake, and from our back cleanout to the front cleanout, it barely reaches, so no way they ever got back where the plug appeared to be, before, because the lamer that came the two times before only had a 50' snake, snaking form the front)

One thing we did find out, our main line goes to the back of our house, under our patio slab, then under our storage addition, and NOT under our new kitchen and bathroom floors which is really nice. An odd way to run it, but if we ever had to dig it up, at least we would not have dig up the middle of the house. I really hope that yours ends up something simple too and not broken pipes.
