Duplicate content and Jays XXX Links
Question 1:
Im wondering if submitting to 100 link lists has any adverse effects on my search engine listings. I mean, if I have 6 different versions of each freesite (mirrors) do search engines penalize me or flag me for duplicate content? Is it better to submit just 1 freesite to 12-16 different link lists or is it better to submit to every link list I can find? I dont know how search engines work so if you know please shed some light on this for me. Question 2: Ive been submitting to Jays XXX Links lately (thanks for listing me Jay) and using around 30 pictures per freesite. Its very hard to pick 30 pictures from a single set of content and leave the surfer wanting more. My idea is using 2 different content sets, 15 or so pictures per gallery, on each freesite. This way I dont give away the farm all in one shot and it also doubles my chances of hitting on something that really turns the surfer on. Do you think this is a good idea or a bad one? Anyone have opinions on these two subjects? |
Yeah... I redid the questions and poll. More input = better.

I've noticed that the SE's tend to pick one mirror, though it's not always the one I hoped. :D
They don't seem mind that I have a bunch of duplicates. |huh Don't forget, recips contribute a significant amount of text. ;) |
I think you need to work out what link lists you make money from then work down from 100 to 12-16....... or why not keep making 100 but use different text on each mirror page
|
And I'll throw in my example of a free site with 2 galleries & 6 different models :)

In my newbie opinion
Q1: The most of surfers on free sites come from link list, so, more link list = more surfers. I have no idea how duplicated sites can affect a domain but I do know that they can be indexded by serch engines as diferent pages.
Q2: Like in any other marketing campaing, the main goal in free sites is to create the need of the product you are promoting into the possible buyers, so, if you satisfy them they wont pay 4 more. About the use of distinct sets of pictures in a single site, it may be a good idea, but in your case, if it's hard to chouse 30 pics from a set, it may be the double to chouse 30 pics from 2 sets. In my case, I try to customise the site according to the content and it could be hard to do with mixed pictures set. |
I thought this was an SEO question, I completely glossed over question 2. Sorry. |loony|
I haven't noticed a correlation between sales and mixed/single content sets. Most of my sales come from the warning pages anyway. |huh To be honest, when I consider gallery content I tend to think of what the reviewers want first, then think of what might entice the surfer to buy comes second... |couch| |

Question 1:
When I mirror my site, recently I started to use different domains for each one but I can't say how it works yet. In past, when using doorway pages like enter.htm, warning.htm etc was allowed (and biggest LL were on the index.htm) in most cases the page that showed in se results was not index Question 2: I think I've never done any site using two content sets - - first - since I use only bought content (ok, Ive done 3 or 4 using sponsors too) it would be waste. And when you have mroe than 100 pics in single set I dont belive you wont find suitable 20-30 - two - its very hard to describe your site when you use more than one set - i'd say its immpossible. If you tried you would have to write: two hot girls getting naked and posing - what matches 90% of teen niche sites. As a link list owner it really pisses me off when someone submits: blonde teen hottie masturbating with pink dildo but in second gallery I see redhead milf slut toying with green toy |

JustRobert calls me hippy-freak. :) There aren't too many self-proclaimed hippies who talk business, so if you talk about some random hippy I think most will probably know who. Sex in the dead of winter makes virgos a bit more common. ;) Call me anything you want. I wouldn't be a hippy if I were concerned with the immaterial. |thumb |
