CCBill?

In ccbill under program details on rebills is it suppose to say zero or unlimited? If you are to get unlimited rebills.

Looks like you found yourself a less than worthy sponsor!

It should read "unlimited rebills.":D

Gnus 2006-08-30 05:51 PM

Yep

Sexypayouts.com

all have zero rebills.

Gary

virgohippy 2006-08-30 06:46 PM

"...partner share of 60% ongoing net revenue for each member you refer." |sad|

It's one thing to dis-allow rebills, it's quite another to say you are when you're not. |club|

DangerDave 2006-08-30 08:17 PM

Wrong - :)

There are two ways that the CCBill Aff Admin can display a programs details..

#1

Trial Subscriptions: Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills
Recurring Subscriptions: Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills

#2

Trial Subscriptions: Payments for Rebills End After: (Unlimited) rebills
Recurring Subscriptions: Payments for Rebills End After: (Unlimited) rebills

It is ambiguity in the CCBill system that is the problem... The language of #1 is correct but misleading.... Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills - To "end" after "zero" rebills actually means.. they do not end...

It actually means the same as Payments for Rebills End After: (Unlimited) rebills

Users of my program will see - Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills - when they view their program details... but guess what... they all get rebills and get paid for them.

Wouldn't it be good if someone from CCBill would slide by and confirm this all for us, and/or sort out the ambiguity. :D

Yes, it would be nice to get clarification from someone at CCBill. It has been my experience that "Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills" means that you do not get paid for any rebills.

Again?! That's twice in far too recent time! I'm glad someone was there to catch that idiot hippy! |loony|

For the same reason Toby mentioned, I'm totally lost now... |huh

ronnie 2006-08-31 09:46 AM

Confusing to me. Where's CCBill?

ronnie

Gnus 2006-08-31 09:51 AM

It would be nice if CCBill would clear this up for us. Make it official regarding the meaning of each.

Gary

CCBill_Paul 2006-08-31 11:22 AM

Hopefully I can clear this up.

Zero means you will not receive credit for rebills.

Unlimited means you will receive credit for rebills.

DangerDave, please contact me I would like to take a look at your program. paulk@ccbill.com

He misspoke. I just checked:

CCBill_Paul 2006-08-31 11:39 AM

Good, thanks!

ronnie 2006-08-31 02:41 PM

So I found a few of my CCBill sponsors, who say they pay recurring, that set it to Zero, that sucks.

ronnie

DangerDave 2006-08-31 04:46 PM

No I didn't :D

I (of course) checked with an affiliate of my program, before I posted.

'His' Aff Admin says.....

Trial Subscriptions: Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills
Recurring Subscriptions: Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebill

.. and we checked that he had been paid for rebills.

That said, I am more than happy to be proved wrong and I among many would like this whole thing cleared up.. It is a question that has been asked many times...

I would like to clear this up as well. Please provide me with the affiliate ID that you looked up so I can take a look.

paulk@ccbill.com

Thanks.

DangerDave 2006-08-31 05:01 PM

Paul,

I am getting the affiliate to double check(again), and am writing you an email with my other hand :D

DD

Useless 2006-08-31 06:08 PM

This is mine, but I'm not the affiliate he is speaking of. We are talking about Old Dollars, correct?

DangerDave 2006-08-31 06:30 PM

Yes, UW it is for OldDollars

and this is the other affiliates screenshot.....

and here is the shot from my Program admin

So something is funked up..

DD

ronnie 2006-09-01 08:50 AM

So after seeing the admin side, it would be pretty tough for a sponsor to be confused with the setting from the admin side that is. Not talking about DD or his program. Just the sponsors who I found have set my rebills to Zero, it's not like they were confused..:(

Time to dump some links.

I had a similar problem with a CCBill sponsor a couple months ago - my account was set to zero rebills & the program was baffled, because in their side, it had the unlimited rebills turned on.

Turns out that when I signed up, they did have it set to zero rebills, but they changed that once they realized the setting was incorrect - only problem was that it didn't change that setting for any of the affiliates that were set up before that day :(

Let me go find the thread.......

Greenguy 2006-09-01 09:07 AM

It was Depraved Dollars - I guess I didn't start a thread on this, but I do have emails from them explaining the problem:

...I believe that everyone who signed in as a beta tester when we started this thing are the ones that didn't get paid...

I will say that once I notified them of the problem, they handled it within an hour :)

The problem can occur if a change is made to the settings AFTER there are some affiliates signed up for the program. Changing the settings in the sponsor admin will only affect new affiliates, it doesn't change settings for existing affiliates. Settings for existing affiliates have to be changed one at a time, but that isn't real clear in the admin.

I brought this to CCBill's attention years ago and they refused to accept it was happening.

I have one sponsor who is showing "Payments for Rebills End After: (Zero) rebills" that has been recurring fine since 2001.

This should no longer be the case but please send me the affiliate ID on this one so I can take a look. Thanks.
