Ernesto is here - good thing I have plenty of gas |thumb Looks like it's supposed to rain all day, but I'll be busy with my big Fantasy Football Draft, so who gives a fuck :D

Have a nice day!

It is the first Saturday of the NCAA Football Season.... LIFE IS GOOD!

Jim 2006-09-02 08:47 AM

And a fine day to everyone
Nothing but rain here as well today. But, I am being forced to go to the mall so, it really doesn't matter.
I'll be in and out all day.

Good morning world |waves|

Remnants of the storm still here too. Probably have rain all weekend, which is fine since I wasn't looking forward to going out and fighting the tourists and post-storm mosquitos for anything.

See some of you at the radio show/chat if there is one today.

:)

I'll second that! And add that most of this day will be spent sitting around in my "drawz" drinking beer and watching the games.

Oh yeah, Good morning all |waves|

Good Morning All :)

Yeah it's that time of day again…
Sunny and nice out this morning but like yesterday it is suppose to turn nasty out by this afternoon.

Speaking of yesterday I spent most of it redoing the big pile of storage RAIDs, networking hubs, house cams PC, and all the other big mess of wires from years off adding stuff off of Angel's office floor to a shelf that we added to hold everything. It's still a huge collection of wires but a lot neater and at least now it's off the floor so that her pets and friends don't keep on knocking cables out.

Woken up this morning by a friend wanting to hit the mall by my house so providing she actually shows up, she is one of those people that often makes plans and then doesn't actually do them, I'll be at the mall feeding our economy today.

Mornin' y'all,

Stayin' home this weekend, as is the norm for me on most long holiday weekends. Just doin' my part to make the roads a little less crowded. :)

The alma mater got an early start to the season, a Thursday evening 56-17 rout of a division I-AA opponent, so no games of interest for me today. |touchdown

I have a custom coding project I need to complete by bed time Monday anyway. Work work work, no rest for the wicked. |devil|

|coffee is on, bring your own mug.

|waves| Morning..

HELP!! Vegas has been invaded by slackers--oh wait that is Vegas--Whoever is the last one to leave California don't forget to turn out the lights.

Last night in their quest for safer streets, Vegas PD set up a sobriety check point.. from 7pm-3am ..do you think they'd set it up with in close proximity to the club corridor? Oh hell no .. they set it up in a residential neighborhood, not a main street but one that runs through an older section of vegas mostly populated by the over 55 set and families. Their total net of those who blew greater than .08? 3. AND they are planning another one tonight. A very good use of our expendable resources to make it look like they are actually DOING something.

Oh wait this isn't my blog.. sorry.....

have a SAFE and happy Saturday |jester|

Good saturday to everyone. Rain here also, looked outside and there is crap all over the place. Wind kicked up and knocked off some branches and the yard is just filled with them. Well let's hope it got rid of the spiders in the yard. Found two on the bed the other night. Could not sleep, kept thinking they were on me. lol.

About two months ago we had some really heavy winds... followed by a lot of rain.. so, we had a lot of leaves on the ground and sticks, etc (no, it wasn't a hurricane). So, I woke up in the morning, looked out, the entire street was flooded. I looked behind our house where the canal is that takes the stormwater runoff, and it was pretty dry. We have a storm drain in our front yard, so, I grabbed a rake, walked over to the storm grate, pulled the branches and leaves away from it and the whirlpool started. It was about this time, knee deep in water that I looked down and every spider in the world must have been floating on the water, and grabbed hold of whatever wasn't underwater -- namely my legs. Probably a hundred wolf spiders and those other yellowish spiders we get, fire ants that had been floating on branches that I brushed into, etc. were on my legs and crawling north to stay out of the water. Neighbor's kid across the street looked at her driveway at the dozens of spiders that were lucky enough to hit the driveway and making their migration to 'dry' land and let out a blood curdling scream.

Sweet dreams. :)

going to see if I can start and finish a ton of code today that I was going to start last night, but got involved in a movie called 'The Island'. You could see Michael Bay's influence, but, the modernized Logans 5 remake wasn't too bad. Entertaining enough that it captured my attention and wasn't just background noise. Damn satellite providers know how to mess up my coding schedule. :)

Good afternoon all |waves|
