Question to Linklist owners

How long does a submitted freesite stay on the Linklist?|huh

Greenguy 2006-09-05 10:43 AM

It varies from link list to link list - I used to kick the off after 6 months (assuming they were not updated) but now they are on there forever (as long as they continue to follow the rules)

pornhitzman 2006-09-05 05:51 PM

I try to keep them on there as long as possible and I think most other ll owners do that aswell. I think thatīs the beauty of submitting freesites compared to galleries, which are only listed for a couple of days max.

Yep, they stay listed with me forever |thumb

That is...unless the builder does naughty things at some point in time |club|

Same here :)

Silver Knight 2006-09-06 06:30 AM

The sites are listed with the most part of LL owners forever.

ladydesigner 2006-09-06 06:38 AM

I also keep them listed forever at both my lists.

Mateusz 2006-09-06 09:27 AM

I keep them all till the first submit but recently I've started thinking of adding some kind of archives and moving some older sites there - categories like teen, lesbians, mature and few more are quiet full - I think it would be fair to active submitters

Same here! I've thought of archiving too but I haven't decided yet. Right now my category pages just scroll on and on into eternity.

spacemanspiff 2006-09-06 09:47 AM

I keep 'em until the clothes the models aren't wearing go out of style and then come back in again.

Wild_Unicorn 2006-09-06 03:52 PM

I keep them up until the site is dead or don't follow the rules any more.

alessandro 2006-09-06 07:18 PM

As long as the free sites submitted to any of my LLs are alive and continue to obey my rules they'll be listed. Thought, in the future I may be splitting some categories into sub-categories.

Jeremy 2006-09-06 07:34 PM

We list them as long are still alive, they still have a recip, haven't changed beyond all recognition etc - either on the main cat page or on the cat archive page.

Jel 2006-09-07 12:50 AM

Another here that lists for ever as long as nothing shady happens :)

Xallow 2006-09-07 06:46 AM

Forever and ever and ever here also

JustRobert 2006-09-07 11:47 AM

As long as they are active, recip in place, and still follow rules they will continue to be on the list. Maybe not where they originated due to splitting or archiving in future.

RedCherry 2006-09-09 04:15 PM

I used to have to delete links on my link lists after a year or so, because my script couldn't handle over about 10k links. Now with my new script, they stay on forever on all my link lists, unless they do something naughty and get deleted. |thumb

Galleries get archived too and stay "forever" on some tgps.
I just got a signup yesterday from a gallery that I submitted 2-3 years ago |santa|

It's good that they stay forever, though sometimes those pages do get waaaaaaaaaaay too long on some linklists. I think a good solution that might work for both the LL owner and the submitter is adding more sub-categories down the road and re-organizing a bit. That way we all get the SEO benefits and better filtered traffic.

I can think of a few half dozen or so LL's that regularly add categories as their sites grow. Not the least of which is Greenie's LOR. :)
