Recips question

Do linklist owners care which recips will be with theirs in the same table?
And is there a good link out there with a good list of Linklists to submit to?

you could start here http://www.greenguysboard.com/resour...fic/index.html

some LLs are picky about that, some aren't. I know a few who have listed in their rules who they like to be with, so I would check that first. As long as the list is active, it doesn't really matter too much who's beside me :)

oh, and I'll add this - sometimes you have to decide for yourself if it's worth subbing to a LL that is so picky they want to be on with only certain lists or they'll reject you ;)

I agree with Ponygirl. As long as you submit me with lists that actually list you it's all good.

GG&J has a nice list. It's all board members, I believe, which is as good an indicator as you're gonna get, IMO:

About the next best thing to do is periodically add a few to your submit list every so often and just see what happens. :D

EDIT: I just realized that Ponygirl already posted the link. Except she didn't say why it was good! |loony|

I agree with both posts above. |thumb

The only thing I will add is this. I couldn't care less who a LL wants next to them in a recip table. But there are linklists out there that do not want to be listed with other certain linklists. 99% of the time those other certain linklists are corrupt and it's best to leave them off your tables all together.

If you aren't sure if a linklist is corrupt, ask here and if the name turns into a bunch of *'s it's definitely bad news.

BTW, those corrupt lists will not be on the resource link above.

Good luck. |thumb

Goodie! Now I know a few sites to purge from my list! |bananna|

Well... once I'm done with my silly scripting project, and actually get back to making freesites... |sad|

Looks like sound advice already given |thumb

That link is a great place to start. If you find yourself needing more later, another way to find them is to follow the trades links on submit pages.

Oh, I'm another one that could care less who else in on the page. As long as they're active lists...you're good to go...and I think you'll find that's the mindset of the vast majority of link site owners :)

I've seen some of these cases but is that a reason enough to not submit to these link lists?
I mean, if no reason is given, is the fact that they're *ed out on this board reason enough for everyone to avoid them?

I'd just like to know WHY, that's all...

Well, it's a really good reason to take a very close look anyway. ;)

Consider it the "where there's smoke, there's fire" principle.

I don't doubt that they're *ed for a very good reason...
But if one of these LLs list my sites and I get a good amount of traffic from it, what else is there to take a closer look at?

well, if it's because of cheating, then I won't submit no matter what. But if it's from a personality conflict or something, just be careful who you group together, that's all ;)

I can see that's why it would be good to know why certain people get the *** treatment lol.

In that situation, absolutely nothing. If you're happy with that LL then I can't see any reason not to submit to them. I was really refferring to a LL you're not familiar with that's xxx'ed here. And I'm not saying don't submit to them, just to take a look.

iMan 2006-09-10 02:00 PM

ok, cool.

I'm just dying to know why though.
I mean, I don't want to just follow blindely, but I also don't wanna be in bed with "cheaters" :)
