New LL feedback
 

Hi guys and gals

I am currently working on a new LL and was hoping to hear what you think of it. don't be afraid to lay it on me, I can take it as long as it is constructive critique.

I am aware that I need a lot more links on it, and they are coming. The black space on each side of "my favorite" in the categories I was thinking of using for galleries of the day and maybe an RSS feed, I have never used an RSS feed before though so I will have to look into that.

Anything that You can think of that needs fixing or changing would be great.

Look, everyone has their own opinions on navigation and scheme's and whatnot. You have to build what's right for you. That being said I will mention two things that I think are important to be noted.

I love a submit link on the bottom of every page. It's a simple matter and makes your submits easier to get to from anywhere on your site.

Secondly, I don't think you should be feeding your linklist traffic galleries, just seems ass backwards to me. Link Hosted Free Sites in that spot if you want or rss feeds, but not galleries -- unless you are building a directory and not just a linklist.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that the gambling link and text is probably superfluous. Lots of WM's tried this years ago and found that traffic was nil and the space/link could be used for far better things. Also, for the US, porn is already a HOT topic (pun intended) and adding online gambling (I saw it was only a forum) may complicate things for you in an unintended way.

I'd suggest using just 2 colors: black & orange. Get rid of blue, it's just to annoying for eyes. Other than than, the design looks clean and easy to navigate to me, but it's your exclusive choice. You'll see if it pays back after a few months and you can decide to change or keep it then based on the results.

My thinking with the other colored links was that if all text is either black or orange, I would have to underline the links to make them stand out, but maybe that is better... I dunno
