Link popularity

Hi guys and gals

I have been using this tool to check my link popularity: http://www.seochat.com/?go=1&option=...npartyporn.com

As You can see if You click the url, my link popularity is 0 on Google, I am wondering why... The site is PR2 and I have atleast 20 links going to it from other sites, WAY more if You count free sites.

If I do a "link: www.pornpartyporn.com" on google I have 80 links, so I am wondering, is the tool just really inacurate or am I just a dummy?

Xallow,
I would not rely on that tool to be accurate. You will find this to be true with a lot of seo tools out there. Just keep doing your thing building up inbound links and pages. ;)

There is a real good links tool (and other tools including cloaking detector) at http://www.linkvendor.com/seo-tools/

I agree with Maj.Strees, do not rely on that tool. Seochat has some great se tools, but I think this one is pretty useless, because other than just counting links, I'm confident it is not smart enought to even evaluate links value/power and as you probably already know, you're after quality backlinks and not just lots of backlinks.

Well said Alessandro. the linkvendor tools are pretty clever though - showing pagerank s of links and even link text if you ask nicely. There is a good comparison tool as well where two websites can be seo scored against each other including backlinks to see which is the best.

Xallow,

You are using the 'wrong' search at Google..

Using the search you indicated - "link: www.pornpartyporn.com" - returns results that contain the words "link(s)" and "www.pornpartyporn.com" because you have a space in the search query.

eg: link:{space}www.pornpartyporn.com

If you search with that space removed - "link:www.pornpartyporn.com" - you get zero results as predicted/indicated by those tools.

This indicates that Google has no backlinks "listed" for your page/site. It does not mean they dont exist.. it just means that Google isnt showing you them.(See below)

It has been said many... many... many... times!
